There were times almost every dancing singer used tanning shop like 1990~2010. Hyo- ri recalls the days when she put tanning lotion on her body naked, could hear Rain in the next room putting lotion too. Kinda funny.☺️
I'd never paid that much attention to Yuna before as I'm not a huge Itzy fan. Ryujin and Chaeryeong are the ones I notice the most when they have a comeback and I don't really check on them on social media or anything on other occasions, but honestly I have to say I prefer Yuna's version. I kinda feel she had an easier time singing this than Hyori. Edit: ok so I just watched a video titled "Lee Hyo Ri (이효리) - U-Go-Girl 유고걸 Stage Mix~~!!" and that one had the best volcals out of the ones I had watched before. So I still maintain my opinion Hyori doesn't always sing it as effortlessly as Yuna did even though it's her song.
You know what kind of bothers me? Hyori was 30 (Korean age) when this song came out, and it was a massive success. But today female idols are looked down upon if they're 25 or older. Idk why, but it really bothers me.
A lot about today’s Kpop scene bothers me as well. I’ve seen quite the cultural change between the early 2000’s to now in kpop. A lot of idols were tan, curvy, fit/muscular/sculpted back then? 💀 Live performances were also the norm, people had fun on stage and reacted well to performances. So idk it’s a large difference in what’s acceptable now.
The business has changed. There were very few artists back then. Now, its hyper competitive. The business at its core is driven by teens / young adults. It doesn't have as diverse of an age group as the US. They aren't looked down upon, but they just aren't ask successful. Female solo singers is probably the worst investment. It's just a hard draw to sell mass quantities. Most female solo singers end up becoming very niche. (It's very crowded: T-ara, Sistar, 2NE1, SNSD ex-members are all near 30s and trying solo.)
@@popcornandanime it was kinda trend for being tan and fit back then. actually in 80s there was trend to be pale, skinny just like now then as it comes to 2000s, it was trend to be tanned, curvy then now it just returned. also regarding live performances, i just think it is extremely hard to do live for current level of dances of idols. it became very competitive regarding choreography and industry kinda gave up on live and choose for harder dances instead. Back then, dance moves quite simple and easy so they could do very clear live performances
LXD Whoa I didn’t know that~ as for choreography, I feel like everyone is reaching for that “wow factor”. But seeing as dance is such a large part of performing now, it’s only normal that everyone advances in their dances. This is particularly hard to do while maintaining proper breathing techniques, focusing on expression and singing live. But the idols now a days seem to do pretty well just not often. I know when it’s done though, it’s amazing and authentic. You can see the extensive training paying off. I just also want to mention that I’m not shaming anyone for lip syncing. 💀 it’s all apart of an art.
The fact that each dancer has a unique outfit witch many accessories and that the female dancers have heavy make up and wear high heels but Hyori still shines proves that she is a queen. Idols now a days could never...

I love her so much! She has the healthy sexy style and in my opinion I don't really think who else looks like her or could even replace her. She's the only QUEEN!
유나같은 애들은 서운하겠지만 시대가 지나도 계속 나올것임 기술이 발전하니, 눈크고 기럭지 긴 애들은 분명 더 있겠지. 근데 오리지날리티 된 사람은 나오기 힘듦. 역사가 증명할것임. 대체재가 없어. 그 예로 여유. 즐김. 눈웃음. 무엇보다 무대에서 주는 카리스마가 부족함. 골반? 그런 골반. 댄서들에게도 많음. 그럼에도 불구 댄서와 함께 있을때에도 효리는 효리밖에 안보였음.
이효리가 이렇게 오래도록 사랑받을수 있었던건 척하지 않아서 그런것같다 어떤 노래든 어떤 방송이든 그냥 자기모습 그대로 당당하게 나와서 그렇지 않았을까 나이들고 사회생활할수록 이렇게 할수있다는게 절대 쉽지않은거 알거다.. 나도 참 솔직하고 당당하고싶다 너무멋지다이효리..❤
이효리는 노래,춤,인간 자체가 풍기는 분위기 등 어느 면에서도 여자 가수 이전에 카리스마 있는 아티스트라는 느낌이 듬. 노출도 있는 의상을 입어도 누군가가 성적 어필이라고 트집 잡기 이전에 예술가의 표현 방식이라는 생각을 하게 됨. 과하게 타이틀 컨셉에 얽메여 무대 위에서 자신의 모습을 보여주지 못하는 현 가요계 아이돌 시장, 옛날보다 훨씬 날이 선 잣대로 문화를 평가하는 대중들 사이에서 이 영상은 하나의 환풍구 역할을 하는 듯. 요즘 트로트나 레트로 감성이 유행하기 시작하는 이유를 알 것 같다. 이효리 멋지다.
