“Savior (feat. B.I)” inspired by the famous line from movie ‘The Handmaiden’, “That you are the savior that has come to ruin me” depicts love that cannot be escaped even if you want to.

And the fact that B.I wrote this song for Lee hi. I think Hayi portrayed B.I, how Lee hi help him from pre-debut era up until now (the lyrics though). iKONICS/IDs theory is Lee Hi’s already dead. The younger Hanbin version was crying and left Lee Hi under the rain after he visited her grave and bringing the flowers (rose lollipop). And when the older Hayi was in church and praying, seems like she’s waiting for Hanbin (the church symbolizes heaven). And Hanbin approached her just like how they were a kids, giving her the rose lollipop.

Wow. This is crazy. If we were to switch the POV since Hanbin made this song, you'll definitely feel and know how much Hayi helped him through and that part where the line goes the person wanted to die but someone made him want to live... Hanbin actually said in his trial earlier this September that he was in despair and wanted to leave life but he chose life. I really wonder if Hayi's given him support and strength since both of them got affected by the issue too. It's so cool to have this type of friendship or whatever they have. Theory: Agree 100% on the mv theory. I thought too all the red food, red candles, red wine... doesn't the color red signify death in Korean mythology/culture? But also...the possible double meaning...if you go by ship lore... he's always pushing her away, in songs, for her own good because of his troubles he might "ruin" her. In this song she says it doesn't matter, you took my heart, you're my savior and you have "ruined" my life but I'm with you, ride or die. He says the future is unknown but they're in it together. At the end they're now under the umbrella together. Married. Side note, how does this duet figure into their "trilogy" of songs? You know how B.I. loves a trilogy! 😍

I read a theory like this: B.I is a vampire and Lee Hi is his childhood bestfriend. Because she's sick, so he turned her into vampire like him by rose candy (aka blood) in order to maintain her life. That's why she wears sunglasses and uses umbrella whenever she's under the sun. But she's just a half-blood vampire, she can't live forever like he thought.. One day, she decided to end up her life by sitting under the sun (the sweating scene, like she's melting and gonna disappear). But B.I didn't want that to happen, so he gave her the umbrella and put the sauce on his nose for her to see that he's just like her. And they will get thru the hardships together.

I feel like at first when they were young, they were scared of the pains and dangers that would come with young love, specifically B.I in the mv, so although he was there to comfort LeeHi with sweet temporary things like the rose candy, he wasn’t ready or experienced enough to deeply share her pains and burdens, in this case, his umbrella. But now that they’ve grown up, B.I and LeeHi have come to realize and accept that they are mature enough to be there for each other throughout their hardships, which would be why B.I finally gives LeeHi the umbrella and smear the red sauce under his nose, to assure LeeHi that she’s not alone. And then in the end they share the umbrella together, showing that they can be each others’ saviors and share similar stresses and burdens together moving forward

Also one thing,,, in the beginning of the MV, lee hi already have the red umbrella, but she was alone. It seems that she is alone because he is gone, but she already has something that was belong to him, so it feels like she was always with him eventhough he is not there anymore. :( hope I am wrong.

I think the grown up Lee Hi and Hanbin are both in the afterlife now. The MV starts with Lee Hi arriving at the church (which probably symbolizes heaven) and I think Hanbin is already there because he died earlier. When they were kids, I think Hanbin left her side which explains the "You were the savior that has come to ruin me" in the lyrics so when Lee Hi dies and meets Hanbin again in the afterlife, he vows to be beside her this time. Back when they were kids, Hanbin left with the umbrella leaving young Lee Hi soaked in the rain. He just left her with the lollipop which probably symbolizes that he's sorry he can't be with her when she's sick and when the MV starts we saw afterlife Hanbin approach her with the symbolic lollipop as well probably his way of saying sorry that he died before her or he left her again. Also I noticed that when afterlife Lee Hi looked at afterlife Hanbin across the table, scenes of young Hanbin leaving her soaked in the rain with just a lollipop in her hand were shown possibly because Lee Hi was reminded of the painful things young Hanbin did to her and that's why she's crying because she was hurt back then. So now in the afterlife, Hanbin tries to make up to her by giving her the umbrella which he failed to give last time and trying to smear his nose with made-up blood signifying that he'll never leave her again.

Red Umbrella : Hope / Wish Black Umbrella : Problem Rose Candy : Promise She go to church to pray (bring red Umbrella), she wish, her hopes come true Then .. what she wish come true He come back (Then flash back when they are young) In the past they share happiness and sadness together But one day The Boy have a problem Black umbrella : problem He have to go to finished his problem He can not afford to protect her again (wipe her nose bleed and rain drop) One day After he becomes mature, he come back to visit her, to complete his promise to her Rose Candy : Promise They share hope / dream together (red Umbrella) and share the pain / sadness together (tomato sauce)

The lady has some kind of illness and here as you guys said the girl also has it and the guy sticks thru her even her pushing him away. I think the church setting also played a role in this MV. For Catholics, there are reported cases of miraculous statues (crying of blood or sweating) and people have this ritual of touching or wiping the sacred image with a piece of cloth as a sign of devotion
