Artists always uses other artists' works as inspiration. But doesn't mean they can copy it without permission. How lawsuits come into play. So, NO. I don't believe this song COPIED Craig David's song. Different beat, different lyrics.
Some of the comments about Jungkook are unnecessary, messing up his name on purpose too is just disrespectful. You think a global hit like this wouldn't get called out if it was the same as Craig David's song? Jungkook has been a humble and hardworking global star for years and takes his job very seriously and he's only 25 it's time some people catch up.
What’s with people consistently comparing this to that other artist’s song? Just bc they’re both saying the days of the week? 😭 two different sounds, my goodness. Just enjoy and don’t compare. Also there’s plenty of other western artists that have collabed with KPOP in general 😮💨🙄
The song sounds nothing like craig david song and the only thing similar is just him mentioning the day of the weeks which is in almost every fucking songs way before craig david song
Latto is not taking Nikkis spot. Who else is collabing with kpop and BTS members in particular? Halsey, Cardi B, Wale, Warren G, Little Nas X, Juice World, Snoop Dog, Zara Larsen, Coldplay, Anderson Paak, Charlie Puth, Benny Blanco, Erykah Badu and many more. Jk wanted her on this song because he thought their voices would go well together
Gentleman in the white shirt: Really, artists have been taking inspiration/music from other artists for MANY years. I suggest being open minded, while exploring different kinds of music. Your not expected to like everything, but please be respectful when giving your opinion. Thank you, from BTS fan.💜
The song was written by some US Grammy winning/nominated Producers Andrew Watt, Cirkut, also Jon Bellion, Theron Thomas. UK garage was one of their inspiration as well as RnB etc. They obviously would NOT be breaching copyright given they’re practically US music industry royalty. The song had a Billboard all-kill on its debut week and now spent 5 weeks at #1 on BB Global 200 and Global (excl. US). Had you done research immediately after you watched it, it would have helped you not to practically slander Jungkook eg Jung “crook”.
My personal take...other than the name of the days in the song, it doesn't sound the same with 7 days. If you want to include it as an inspiration, might as well include all the songs since the 60's that mentioned days. BTS always mention their inspiration in their songs in the past. Not sure how you expect kpop song to sounds like as it is not a genre. They do multiples genres. Jungkook is from BTS. They are taking break from group activities and focus on solo projects since they are entitled for mandatory military service for 18 months. 2 of their members already in the military and the rest will follow accordingly. BTS discography is extensive. You can refer to a video by boracity magazine on that. She listed out their songs, album, covers and collabs even before their debut in 2013. It's a long video btw. Since you mention dance, there's actually a choreography video on this song. It's a thing in kpop so that their fans can follow and do the dance challenge. Jungkook also perform this song live at the one show on BBC as part of his promo.
He didn't choose her directly. He asked the production team to do a rap part in his song than they started toghether to look for a rapper that suits the song they suggested latto for him and he agreed. Of course who's gonna say no to the greatest off all time
@@pawlaski1857he literally said multiple times he chose her the production team barely did anything in the end it's his say so for his song. idk why everyone keeps trying to downplay that. it's like yall are allergic to bts being in control of their own music and who gets featured. if he didn't choose her she wouldn't have been contacted or put on the song. and if she declined the same reason she wouldn't have been on it. both artists were the reason she is on it not the weirdo producer who's been trying to take credit for everything.
@@pawlaski1857yep! He said that in one of his interviews and also in the a magazine interview. Producers recommended her and he agreed. This is facts and it’s not a big deal 🙄
hello! Jungkook is part of the Korean band BTS, you could listen to their songs, I recommend listening to Still with you (Jungkook) and Mic Drop (BTS). Thank you!!
The song has nothing to do with Craig David. If singing the days of the week is copied from Craig Davis’ 7 days released in 2000 then Craig copied Saturday Love released in 1985 by American signers Cherrelle & Alexander O’Neal. Also, Latto is not taking Nicki’s spot because it never belong to Nicki. Lastly, the majority of commentary is disrespectful.
Just for you FIY! This song is number 1 for 25 days Global spotify bitting all the big artist in US💥💜👍and Hot100 bilboard number 1 for 1st week and number 1 for 3weeks for billboard 200 and billboard 200 US exclusive!! Its a fire song everybody loves the song!!!!
I’m like 10000% sure if this song was copied or even sounded as similar as you guys are stating it would have been called out and a lawsuit would have been filed 😭.I can see maybe some inspiration brought from Craig David’s song but l dont see the similarities besides the days of the week and the beginning beat🧍🏽♀️.Y’all should lay down a little with the little comments you were spewing because some people might see this and start hating on him,tbh BTS(the group hes in ) already gets hella hate for just being Korean they don’t need more unnecessary hate from randos who are just trying to find something to bitch about. Not saying you guys are doing that I get you were in the moment and it sounded familiar but hella people just shit on them so much for no reason at all.If y’all wanna hear more of him l recommend “My time” or “still with you”
I enjoyed your reaction.I recommend other interesting mv.It's BTS Jimin's song. Please react. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UaywgAqcLxI.html
