I agree that there are layers of interpretations. However, Jimin has specifically referenced several times that there were things that happened that he couldn't say more specifically because of younger fans. I don't think that part is about friends or I guess it could be but in a different sense. I don't think it's about insecurities at all. I think he's angry, and there are many layers to that as well.

@@earthmother1541 He was angry because he was betrayed by friends who he trusted and loved very much. Can't you tell who would that be? He also mentioned that he doesn't hate anybody now so he ends up forgiving them in the end. Probably because the show must go on and he has to continue BTS. There is nothing more important than his artistry to him after all. I could totally understand his mindset. It's easy to talk about all these, but what a painful journey he's been through! It's not easy to be betrayed by someone you loved and swallow that humiliation. It takes a lot of courage to open up the wound and forgive that betrayer.

I would also venture to add that many so-called loyal BTS fans/stans dragging him and saying nasty things about him and to him on social media, etc… is also the worst betrayal for Jimin who cares so much for his BTS brothers, his craft, and ARMY…

@@earthmother1541 he is angry and he dislikes it, he was trained to control it, he decided to open to vulnerability because he don't like, and bts don't li,e or understand his anger, he opened to true vulnerability all this years in return he received lots of hate and in the end betrayal of people very close to him, I hope it is not the boys, it could be those friends he use to travel with, he is talking about love, and of course he have loved , ah I dont like the things those songs make me think , he is so strong but their lives are really so complicated, and all the money does not help, as you never know what are for real what are for money, and even their bond as 7 under cameras all the time, is not healthy neither

100%agreed with your interpretation. I sometimes wonder how he could have not shown sorrow at the LA concert when his life was in shambles. The greeting at the concert in INTERLUDE is most likely the LA concert or possibly the Las Vegas concert since he said he realized that "he can't go on like this" in the Las Vegas concert. And after that, he started work on this album in several months. He also mentioned that he had to get it out in music. That's what most artists do. It's so interesting to see how other members reacted and go on in these circumstances and acted like they didn't see or hear anything, although they knew exactly what was happening. In Alone, he said everybody knew what was going on and mocked him in his back. So apparently, he was the only one who didn't know how he was fooled and cheated by the betrayer. What a cruel world!

Thankyou , I've watched it several times as Jimin is my bias, and the reason I dived deep into the BTS RABBIT HOLE in June 2021, after accidentally discovering BTS in June 2021 on the James Corden Show on late night television in Australia. We had the longest Lockdown in Victoria Australia in loothe world. His beautiful smile, eyes and warm personality stood out. Then I discovered his absolutely amazing Artistic Talent and background from his school and beyond. I also learned how BTS started out and what they have been through. BTS helped get me through the COVID and personal situations. There will only be ONE BTS. I LOVE RM'S, JIMIN'S, JHOPE , SUGA'S AND JINS ASTRONAUT MUSIC JOURNEYS THROUGH THEIR SOLO ALBUMS. I'm sure after 2025 when they complete their Military duties the Best Is Yet Come. 0T7 AND ARMY FOREVER. I am a Senior Army. I know I've left alot out but I have to stop, otherwise I write too much. I watch everything all BTS CONTENT 3 times and starting all over again which should take me through to 2025. I've just watched SUGA'S first Solo Concert. 🙃😉😊 💗❤🧡💛💚🤍💙 💜 V AND JUNGCOOK also have amazing talent as their individual song releases have shown us all that. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Just Another Lurker, I agree that's why he drank until he forget the pain. My heart is broken when I think about Jimin's sorrows when he found out about the truth of this betrayer and cheater. Apparently, he gave heart and even money. So this betrayer can be a lover to Jimin at that time.

No, I don't agree with you on that. I know some people tried to sabotage him by framing him for something entirely NOT true. This is about how he felt when he was betrayed and lost a lover/ friend who he trusted very much. It's so clear and he mentioned in the interviews very succinctly. And how he overcame the painful situation. I can almost see it as watching a film by reading lyrics and listening carefully to INTERLUDE on the album. He mentioned he realized that his wandering/ drinking/moaning by the loss of the person have to stop in order to survive, just before and during the Las Vegas concert. And approximately 3 months after the Las Vegas concert, he started to work on the album and joined Pdog camp around June or July of 2022. So, it took 10 months to release the album, but the lyrics and melodies were made within 1.5 months, he said. There is no other story other than his painful emotions when he realized he lost the most trusted and loved person in his life at that time. I am always puzzled why people always tried to feed and frame the artist as something other than what the artist clearly expressing and explaining verbally about what it is??? I just never can understand the motivations of Jimin haters.

I totally agree. He explained what it is about in Suchwita with a word that you cannot use in RU-vid comments, nothing about pandemic or Army. He calls it his common story, a plain regular broken heart, the angry phase of it.

I entirely disagree. I think the software is his emotions /heart which was hurt, scarred, and developed thorns to protect him from the hurt that can happen in the future. ( you saw thorns and a band aid all that in the pictures). Hardware is about either tougher-looking Jimin in a leather rider jacket now after going through all that pain and agony, or he was looking tough, but all scarred and beaten down on the inside/emotionally. It's so relatable with all of us who's been betrayed by someone who we loved so much at one point in our lives. Assuming everybody was in love and broken up /or betrayed at least one time in their life if you are an adult.??

No, I think slightly differently from you. In the "like crazy" scene, he is in a dream or in his imagination having a good time. His PD decided to use the club scene since most people go to nightclubs to escape from reality and have momentary relief or a good time. I remember what Jimin explained in one of the interviews. He doesn't want to be awakened from the dream because once he awakes, he has to deal with the painful reality. So, his first scene starts with sleepy eyes and dreaming and the last scene is also sitting down in a chair with sleepy eyes in " Like Crazy" MV. His reality is alone and lonely after betrayed and lost the loved one. But, he can't get out of the chaotic reality portrayed as the mud on the floor or the mud on his hand in his MV. I think that's why Like Crazy melodies are somewhat dreamy because it's the scene in his dream. He said in his interview that he got over it near the Las Vegas concert. In 2-3 months, he started his new album. FACE-OFF: discover the truth about the friend/ or lover and confront the person. INTERLUDE; The summary of the entire story. Jimin is knocking on a door urgently -ends up arguing (face-off with the person who betrayed Jimin) - cries while he is running back to his place - greeting at the LA concert at the end of 2021 - come back from the concert and drinks alcohol -he is telling us that he was the same state of mind until the LA concert. Like Crazy; he is dreaming to escape reality in the club and dreaming about the good time and doesn't want to wake up from the dream in order to not deal with his reality. SET ME FREE; He wants to be free from all his opposition including the haters, and the negative thoughts of anger and regrets about him actually being fooled and mocked for not knowing while everybody else knew what was going on. In set me free, as the poem delivers, he decided to spend his life dedicating himself to making great songs and impacting fans through his music in a subtle way, just like the waves.

So, I know when I come across your type of comments, you are actually interested in your own gender issues that you have and want to hear about what regular people think about you, don't you? It's nothing wrong with that in my opinion. As you said in your comment, it's your choice, and you will live by your choice. You said it. Seems like you already have an answer for yourself. You just wanted to confirm and reemphasize your thoughts to yourself, don't you? I understand. You also want someone like Jimin who is famous, talented, good-looking, and beautiful as you wish to be when you are born again and him to be one of your community people, don't you? Just like the LGBTQ community has been working on BTS members for many, many years to include them as one of their community members. Listen Suzette, I've noticed you are obsessed and persistent enough to comment on every single Jimin song's reactions. But you are wrong this time. Jimin made very clear about the album and what the story is about in numerous interviews. You may not know since not every Korean broadcast is translated into English. All the lyrics clearly say what happened to him and what he was feeling each time. There is no room for misunderstanding or confusion. He just lost a loved one and he wandered around, binge drinking to escape from reality and ruminate endlessly about what happened to him and finally realized that he needs to get up and do something about his life. He also expresses his newly established attitude toward negative people like you who are constantly trying to degrade, mock, and frame him other than who he is, and the negative thoughts in the song "set me free". This album is nothing to do with his sexuality. He was interviewed several times and he succinctly said what the story is about. Jimin is not one of them who will be having gender issues or sex changes no matter how you guys go around trying to convince Armys with not even a logically possible storyline when you look at the MV. I have to say you guys are quite clever and imaginative to come up with such a bogus story, though. Meanwhile, I'd like to talk about you. Even if you have gender issues, why do you worry about some random celeb when they have an entirely different life from you? Just because they act friendly and humble enough to look at you at the same eye level, doesn't mean what you see and hear is all their life is about. Don't you think they need some privacy and dignity? Try to find a role model from nearby you, not from a culture you don't even understand. Because cultural backgrounds make huge differences when it comes to gender identity. Well, this was an unexpected direction. I’m 68, which means I was a kid in the 60s. One day I looked at the newspaper past the comic section (called the funnies lol), and read about a carload of guys wolf whistling someone with really long hair walking by the road, and when they realized it was a guy, they beat him with a baseball bat. I was still young and wise enough to realize hey aren’t we all just humans first? So despite the overboard woke stuff, which is, by the way just the sadly necessary messy way to break problematic conventionals, as it was in the civil rights, anti-war and women’s movement eras, just so you know from one who was an audience to it all. Personally, I am glad to see androgyny on the rise as a standard of beauty, because it is at a higher, purer human level than gender-based (which face it is mostly about personal sexual feelings). Jimin has often been regarded as an example of such transcendence , as in the many reaction videos posted by straight men. Despite your “expertise” in the area, your vehemence shows some issues of your own. Jimin shines for everyone, he’s willing to accept the filters for the most generous of reasons. I don’t presume to advise, but based on your post, I don’t think you offer anything constructive to Suzette. I hope you reflect on this in the way it’s intended.

RM is one of Jimin's co-writers in the song. He didn't rap at all, it's all Jimin. Not a Collab.

I disagree. He made it very clear in this song, it's about how he felt when he was betrayed and lost the trusted and loved someone. If you listen to INTERLUDE, the beginning was about someone knocking on a door with anger and then starting an argument and raising a voice. So it tells that he tried to make sense of the situation by confronting the betrayer. And then he ran back and start drinking. This album is very obviously trying to show what happened from the discovery of betrayal and how he moaned and wandered. In the end, he finally overcomes his obstacles and swears that he will not give in to the opposition; in Set me free.
