He worked hard with songwriting and every other aspect down to singing and performing to show himself as raw and honest as possible. About Set Me Free Pt.2 he said: "Set Me Free Pt.2 was created when I was feeling lost and depressed. I was determined to overcome those feelings and had lots of those thoughts. It's a song that contains a lot of my emotions from then. Just like how we overcome challenges and get lost again. There are things we can't escape from as if we're on a hamster wheel. That's what I wanted to express"

In his solo album 'FACE', Jimin honestly expressed the various emotions he felt during the COVID-19 pandemic for about two years. 'FACE' contains the story of facing yourself and preparing for a new beginning as an artist. 'Set Me Free Pt.2', which will be released in advance, is a song in the hip-hop genre, containing a determined will to get rid of various emotions such as pain, sadness and emptiness and move forward freely. From serious lyrics and melodies to Jimin's RAP, there are so many points of appreciation." Jimin is definitely breaking free from the confines of his own mind... his insecurities... .being okay with all sides of him... scene at the end, Jimin being lifted up looked so familiar. It's really reminiscent of John Constantine's "visit" to hell to find out if the twin sister was really there. That scene is truly epic, all those demons trying to pull him back To this day, my favorite movie that I keep watching every few years and still discovering new things. In Jimin's case, it now feels like instead of pulling him down, his demons are lifting him up. What's that saying : if you can't fight your demons, make friends with them? I think that's why he used his full voice in this song, and that's why we are all shocked, we were waiting for Jimin's sweet voice and him told us to go away with full voice and all the haters! He's a man he chooses to be, not one we decide. I'm really glad he slapped many in the face!! I love you jiminshii!!!! NOTE: THE AUTO TUNES IN THE VOICE WAS INTENTIONAL, AND MEANS THE VOICES OF THE HATERS THAT INSIST IN ATTACKING HIM, THAT'S WHY THE "FUCK YOU" IS SO EXPRESSIVE. I saw this video trending like crazy. While watching it, my jaw was on the floor! Afterwards, I was like, "Who is this Jimin dude?" This performance video is absolutely PHENOMENAL! The last time I was this shook by a performance video was when Michael Jackson's Thriller 1st aired on TV. Yeah, I went there. This dude is beyond K-pop. I will definitely be following his solo career as well as giving some watch time to BTS. Bravo!

We had the same reaction to the MV except I may have screamed a couple times 😂 I was expecting a “Promise” kind of song who cb I was excited about cause I love his songs, but it’s not a song I’d listen to regularly…THIS shook me but is WAY more my speed.
