Set Me Free pt 2 is nod to a track on bandmate SUGA’s aka Agust D mixtape, D-2. There isn’t a connection but since it turns out pt2 talks about freedom and moving forward, and SUGA’s song talks about some of the stories that come before, Jimin thought it would be good to come after that. This song itself actually has nods to BTS songs. At least for me. Reminds of ON, Black Swan orchestra vers choreography and Jimin song Lie.

The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this makes me that much more excited, waiting in anticipation for release of the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” on March 24, along with his other, main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! Trying to answer a few of your questions. BTS is a 7 member group and yes they've been going since 2013. Jimin is the lead vocalist and one of the main dancers. He has a number of real tattoos all over his body, a few of which you can see in the video, but the one that's all over his chest is fake and just for the video. It's a German poem called, “I live my life in widening circles”. He's got another video and a mini album coming out on the 24th. There's also a dance practice/choreography video for this song where you can see the dancing even more clearly. You should check it out. All South Korean men have to serve in the military for 1.5 to 2 years and enlist by age 28 or in the case of some idols like BTS age 30. So all of the members will have to go, but we don't necessarily know when. J-Hope would have had until next year, but he's going now, so he can come back sooner. I think some of the other member will enlist early too, as the goal is for them to be back together by 2025 or so.

BTS have been attacked by everyone since their beginnings as a group and also individually, Jimin constantly receives a lot of hate and it always affected him. He is a singer, he has a very soft but powerful voice and he is a contemporary dancer. This is different, with this song he shows us another side of him, a new Jimin who sends everyone to hell and shows himself without fear. Jimin is a perfectionist and he's received a huge amount of hate from people these 2 things combine along with people trying to put him into their own idea of what he should be eg putting him into a box. It's has affected his perception of himself in a bad way. Set me free is Jimin breaking that cycle of negativity in his thought process and in extension those who try to bring him down. The whole dance is about the song the dancers trying to keep him in their little box but Jimin win's they fail.

Jimin has said this song is about him realizing that only he himself could set his self free. Jimin has received and still receives so much hate and death threats since debuting with bts. The hate is so sickening, he is a hard working kind talented man who cares for everyone. The hate comes from stans of a couple of the other guys they want to pitt the guys against each other. which is ridiculous and wrong the guys aren't in competition and each wants the other to do and be great. It also comes from other fandoms who some not all hate and are jealous of bts's success. Their idols have done well but not as well as bts. then you have people who simply hate bts for no reaosn and wouldn'g give them a chance. I think he was letting the haters and those who want to stop him he doesn't care and he is free .

BTS has seven members, 3 rappers, and four vocalist. They have mandatory military service for men in South Korea. They will all be going into the military. One member Jin went in December of 2022, J-hope is getting ready to join. They took this at the end of 2022 to focus on solo projects, anything they wanted to do because they have been running none stop since they debuted in 2013, in South Korea. They are coming back together in 2025 when they are done with their service. All BTS members have to enlist in mandatory S. Korea military service (all able-bodied men have to enlist by a certain age; S.Korea and N.Korea are still in an on-going, decades-long war). That's why the 7 members put their group projects on hold, to get their solo projects out before enlisting - expected by the end of this year so they can regroup in 2025. BTS members range in age from 25-30 y/o. The eldest, Jin (vocalist) started his military service in January, after his solo-related work wrapped up last year. With JHope recently wrapping up his solo work (the single featuring JCole was created by JHope as a 'goodbye for now' to fans, after JHope's Lollapalooza concert last year), he's already enlisted and will be announcing his departure date soon. RM (BTS's Leader/rapper) already dropped his album and has done his performance rounds as well, but is still jumping on projects; SUGA/aka AgustD (rapper) sold out in a few hours (thru fan pre-sales) the US leg of his upcoming world tour, beginning in May; Jimin (vocalist) is just getting started with his solo projects (his album drops this week and there's a LOT of buzz around it); the youngest, Jungkook/aka JK (vocalist), created a song and performed for the FIFA World Cup, but hasn't given hints of other plans as of yet; V (vocalist/actor) has been doing fashion, brand features and a variety show, but we're all waiting for his new music plans too:) As a side note: all BTS members have done solo projects over the years, but the group is their core; they are like tight-knit bros, some have been together about 13 years, tho they debuted as a 7 member group in 2013. BTS is a multi-Grammy nominated global group and all members are songwriters/producers/composers (the rap line are the main songwriters of the group), creators and major brand global ambassadors, among many thing they represent. They are the biggest group in the world today, by far, earning around 900+ awards worldwide (including the artists with the most Billboard #1s in the past 10 years, American Music Awards/AMA Artists of the Year 2021, etc.; BTS are record-breakers). But what's also inspiring about them is their backstory: they came up from nothing/no funds, started as a hip hop group, counted on each other, and together, worked their collective asses off, all the way to the top. Jimin's boots in this are just a fashion choice. Yes, all seven members will be joining the South Korean military this calendar year (there is a minimum 18 month mandatory military service for all able-bodied men). Jin, the oldest is already done with training and is completing his 18 months. J-Hope is the next one that will go (he knows the date he's going, but we don't know... just soon). J'Hope released his solo album (the first of the group to do so) last July and then headlined Lollapalooza (where he met J Cole for the first time)- "On The Street" was his good-bye for now gift to ARMY. Jin did a song with Coldplay "The Astronaut" as a good-bye for now gift before he left. RM, the group's leader and Lead rapper, released his solo album "Indigo" this past December. He has Anderson Paak and Erykah Badu featured on tracks (among others). Jungkook, the youngest, performed the theme song "Dreamers" for the FIFA World Cup this year. Jimin's solo album "FACE" will be out THIS FRIDAY (Thursday midnight EST). He'll be performing the title track "Like Crazy" on Jimmy Fallon this Friday (the 24th). V filmed a TV show in Mexico that is airing now on Amazon Prime (Jinny's Kitchen), but no new music as of yet, and SUGA will be touring solo for the first time starting this Spring in the US and Asia... we don't know if he'll have new music or not, but all three of the rappers have released mix-tapes previously and all 7 members have solo songs within BTS' discography.

There is no part 1. That was a shout out to Suga for a song of his, basically. Jimin said that this was about him. It has a light/dark, black/white energy. It's about determination, passion and overcoming and only he can set himself free, so he's telling himself to set himself free.

Hey brother, I just wanted to put this out there to some New amryes just coming on Board Brand new to the fandom and the Guys as a whole, as Note of Awareness: there's nothing wrong with disliking anything either, although Some times stand can be Overbearing and Toxic, especially, primarily when it comes to "Shipping". The shipping culture is a whole other story. Shipping with the Same s€x though is Sus and more so, but it IS a thang in Kpop culture as well as many Manga/anime characters, only, their fictional characters vs Idols in real Life, so the Offense and toxicity can beuch for Some folks.
