Smeraldo is an imaginary flower that comes from the BTS Universe. It's the story of The Truth Untold (a BTS song by the vocal line) then the story continues with the Highlight Reel... In the BU, the Smeraldo is the flower of secret and pain but also of the sincerity that could not be delivered. Here, Jimin switches the sad story of the BU in an happy one cuz he ables to deliver his true feeling to ARMY. So that's not just an bubbly song, like often with BTS, the meaning is deeper under the sugar coated vibe. It's a statement about embracing the reality of oneself, with the good but also the bad, the strength and the weakness, the joy and the fear...

I agree, it weirdly grows on you quite fast. I didn't like it at first. Now I really wonder how it fits in the full album! It's track 3 after Rebirth and Interlude Showtime. I think it'll transition from the darkness of FACE through these first 3 songs, into the light! And then the album ends with Closer Than This, right next to Army (ref. SNTY, CBTM, ...). Pretty disappointed because I thought this was going to be right up all Armys and people alley but this is literally a kids song !!!I can’t Jiminaaaaa either. I can’t listen to it again. At their level I'm 10000000% sure nothing just happens to their music, they can make people work on their song until it is what they want, so " Jimin deserves better" doesn't feel right to me, he's a grown up man and with a huge influence in Korea, he approves of everything he "deserves". They have a huge discography so I guess it's natural most fans won't like everything they do. This song is not my favourite either, but many people like the vibe, so good for him for doing what he felt like at the time.
