栴壇の木は成長が早いのに木目が綺麗で田舎には幹の直径が1mを越える物が何本も有った。栴壇の実を鳥が食べ電柱に止まり糞から発芽して電柱の根元に自生し成長が早いだけにけっこ厄介だ。

天然木の素晴らしい木材、上手く特性を生かした製材で、見入りました。 動画で、はい、うん の連呼を変えて欲しいのと、 製材所の御二人が話してる言葉を 文字入れして欲しいです。 防塵マスク無しの作業で、木屑を吸い込み、体を悪くしないか心配です。

the sawmill is so great, it's more hands on than a lot that I have seen. the wood is beautiful but the camera work on this one was terrible! we rarely had a clear picture of the grain and then when the camera person accidentally got there he moved too fast for us to enjoy. Very disappointing...

I see checking at the end of the log. Were the ends sealed to force the drying to take place through the sides of the log after felling the tree? Beautiful log. JoeB

Why do they not ? Splinter ? All the way to the ends of the cut boards? It wood seem that the drying slabs would warp. I would think the cost of a few splinter boards is not the reason. Anyone know? JoeB
