As far as I'm aware, the sample both here and in Jet Set Radio came from the Spanish: 2 in Line - Viva La Revolución (the artist is José Ramón López). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--jdf5SykWiQ.html
I am from Spain. So this song has it's origin at the "Ruta del Bakalao". It looks like it fits well cyberpunk, Cyberia and I guess it has it's room in Lain too. Bakalao was a kind of massive clubbing thing in Spain, where people would literally spend days non-stop clubbing and partying. A lot of drugs severely damaged many people and it was a worrisome issue for the time, but also many who have experienced that say they miss it. During this epoch, this kind of music was massively produced in Spain. Interesting. I am very surprised.
I bought this album 15+ years ago, haven’t listened to it in yeeeears, but I will randomly have “Viva, viva, la revolución!” pop into my head, and with fair consistency.
OH MY GOD! I had never thought that Serial Experiments Lain and Jet Grind Radio would have something in common, but...wow! Two of my favorite things have the same sample. This song shares a sample with "Rock it On" from Jet Set Radio.
I put this on a mix CD for my childhood friend back in 2001 after finding it on a Lain fansite. Had to revisit it after seeing Lain resurging in popularity lately. Get on the dance floor and scrrrrrrrream like this! mmmmmmmmmm NYAH!
@@TensaiClips unfortunately I can't remember exactly as it's been 23 years. I did make a copy for myself but it's long gone after several moves. As best as memory serves, it had a lot of anime OPs/EDs (Gundam Wing, DBZ, Card Captor Sakura, etc.), 90s electronica and trip-hop, a couple Radiohead songs, VNV Nation, and music from Final Fantasy 8. I probably had a couple of the musical numbers from MST3k on there too because my friends and I are nerds. I never promised I was good at making mixes but at least we were having fun. lol
Thanks for the original sample kyomunosekai , but we can also see there is no "Dj" in the original one. And the Dj , apart from screaming Nya, also say " Welcome to the GGs cyberia (wall?) " GGs beeing the main group of Rudies in tokyo-to. So... Lain is in the same universe than Jet Grind/Set Radio ? Fuck yeah.
Oigan este soundtrack es en cerio? No es alguna parodia, efecto auditivo o algo? Y pq coño dice "viva la revolución " por vafor pasen contexto y explicación:?
i know its a song and all but holy molly hearing that "viva la revolucion" triggers my inner sadness of a life and future long lost and ruined by the communists and socialists.
