just to pin a comment i think is really helpful for the show and for the nostalgia driven 90's and early 2000's kids "this show dealt with so many real topics. genocide, colonization, war, slave labor, ethnic conflict, jealousy, love, international politics, corrupt governments, mind control, propaganda, poverty, family relations, spirituality, philosophy, concentration camps with the southern water tribe, revenge, technology, pollution, community, betrayal, societal repression, martial arts, death, sacrifice,nature, economics and that's just to name a few topics in this show. it was a once in a lifetime show that really made me feel, laugh and think."

i have lost count of the amount times i have watched this show, but everytime i do, the show never fails to amaze me. This show is all i remember of my childhood. it has a special place in my heart, all the powerful messages and story telling immerses you into a different world away from your problems and made you feel at peace yet it also taught me so much on how to deal with different things. I know most of you might think "dude, chill it's just a show" for me it was more than that. Alot of us could relate to each character in a personal and meaningful way.
Nah dude, don't chill I feel that same way about this and a few other good shows. I believe shows are an amazing tool to teach people some of the most important things in life.

ugh i used to try and see if i could 'bend' when i was younger, like in the shower, i'd try to waterbend, or laying on the couch, i'd see if i could air bend the remote back to me haha
lia probst To be completely honest, I’m 19 and still trying to work it out. I don’t have a massive lion turtle to grant me bending but I am hopeful I can work something out. If I fail, then it was at the very least a fun way of exercising body and mind;)

The original showriters are working on it again, with the same music guy as well, to erase the shitty movie and get an actual ethnic cast. They're literally pouring heart and soul into retelling the story with a ton of expansion and detail they didn't have time for the first time. The visuals that got released several months back are STUNNING.

I remember sitting and watching avatar with my sister on the carpet right in front of the tv while our mom made dinner and freaking out when it said we’d have to wait till tomorrow to see the next episode eventually turning into a routine . Things were so simple back then it’s nice but hurts to think about .

When it started playing the Blue Spirit music I like lost it. That was my favorite episode and still is and I cannot explain how nostalgic that made me feel omg
I recently re watched the avatar and it is even better than the other 10 times i have watched it. It never fails to amaze me. I love Iroh and how he is so contempt with life. He has made me wanna really try Jasmine tea x. Iroh is 100% my favourite character ever. This song helps me to remember everything he has said throughout the series. My favourite part was when at the end of book 1: water, when prince zuko is about to sneak into the northern water tribe and Iroh said "ever since i lost my son, i think of you as my own". It was such an amazing part because it finally tells us what Iroh thinks of zuko and how much he loves zuko.
Aang looks like he finally realized what the man at the intro meant and he's thinking more of the past to make even more sense of everything, thereby him having even more realizations.
I'm sad that I was never interested in ATLA when I was younger. I want to feel that nostalgia now, but I sure am glad I watched it when I could understand it's wisdom.
This series is the most beautiful ,best , emotionally ,and the most amazing Serie in the world .This serie has so many little details that make it so special .Many people say this is a child show but no....It’s more than that .For me personally I think that Avatar the last airbender is a very beautiful series and every time I rewatch it it makes me so chill and I can rest .Its beautiful to have something you can hold on even when you feel down ....❤️
Y'all don't understand how many times I rewatched the entire series. I love Avatar so much and I love the Legend of Korra even tho the rest of the series was continued as a book that idk where to get

This put me in tears because of how this reminded me of my childhood. In some ways it makes me feel empty, knowing I’ll never get this back. While in other ways I’m glad I grew up with this and had it in my life, and knowing new things will come through the years and possibly be just as good makes me happy.
This show hit home on a lot of issues going on in the real world around me when it aired. Looking back at the memories of those times makes me feel blessed I am still here to see another day and night.

Personally i want to cry every time i hear or see something from this cartoon. Reminds me of my childhood, how everything was easier. What makes me even more sad that I cant go back to my childhood, cant turn time backwards and be a child again waiting for new episode of Aang
I dearly love music to it's core, the way it makes people come together wether it be through tough times or happy ones. It makes your body move, you can dance, one can sing, others provide to make something beautiful, sound. Thanks for this everyone

Avatar is what happens when a group of people are legitimately passionate about a project, not just making it purely for the money. Thank you for this, it brings back many precious memories from childhood
This whole lo-fi mix of avatar makes me cry because i want to see more of him in series form, the comics were good but i enjoy more of the series. I hope they make another avatar series after korra.
