Dear Asthenic, you have done it again!! Great tracks! My fave is track number two, Night Vibes. When I hear this, I have a made up movie scene in my head: a cop driving on sunset Blvd on his way home after a long day. Cop voice-over: "There's a lot of people in my city. Good people. Bad people. Criminals, lawyers, taxpayers, parents...you name it, I have to protect them. With every passing day it gets a little harder. Criminals are always finding a way to outsmart the authorities." Our hero parks his 68 Mustang GT on the street and walks to his apartment. Once inside, he locks the door and walks over to his desk, which is barely used. It really fits in with the rest of the poorly furnished apartment. He places a few manilla folders on the desk and opens one folder, looking at the police report, lab results, crime scene photos, etc. Unnerved, he opens a bottle of scotch and takes a few swigs. He thinks to himself: "It just doesn't make sense. It's the same MO for every case. No evidence left at the scene. No witnesses saw the suspect enter or leave. The victims had no known connections to each other. Just another file to add to a growing pile of cold cases. It seems the perpetrator is preying on random people...if it is just one perpetrator. My experience as a lieutenant on the homicide division has taught me that serial killers aren't that complicated. Just figure out a motive and look for patterns. Only...it's not that easy this time. I can't establish a motive and I see no obvious patterns. No sign of forced entry. No money or valuables are taken. One victim even had her door chained from the inside and this person still found their way in. This person or persons are taking the lives of innocent people just for the sake of it." Our hero notices a picture on the desk. Its a picture of him and his Father standing beside the Mustang. His dad surprised him with it when he graduated from the academy. His dad was a long time officer on the force. 42 years of his life was spent on protecting the citizens of this city and it certainly rubbed off. His Father and mother are now taking it easy on the other side of the country, in a town a lot safer than LA. His father taught him one valuable piece of advice: when the trail goes cold go back to the beginning. Our hero leans back in his chair, gazing out the window. He gets up and walks to the large window. The city skyline is visible. "I know you're out there," he mutters. "And when I find you, only God will be able save you..." [Cut to black screen]
