Filmed using Digital Combat Simulator and Heatblur's F-14 Tomcat Module. Edited in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
A big shout out to Cecil for the amazing formation flying that made most of these shots possible.

It's a very good film, but there is an error. In the 1981 the IRIAF hadn't soviet fighters. The mig 21 and the mig 29 were arrived in the 1991.

Nice video except the F/A-18 didn't start flying for the Navy until 1984, that flight deck should have been full of A-6 Intruders and A-7 Corsairs

What are you talking about? This is obviously 100% historically accurate footage from the famous and well-known time the Burj Khalifa got teleported back to 1981 along with time travel technology prompting Iran to attack the city with a low level Nuclear Penetration Mig-21 attack only to be thwarted by another time traveling U.S. carrier group that was teleported from a time that had the only fighter capable of defending Dubai from low-level super sonic attack: The F-14 Tomcat. I think they made a movie loosely based on these events called 'The Final Countdown' or something.
