@@AluminumOxidewhat if there was another where the same fate occurred but it happened in 2023 or later? We'd have many streams and photos from inside the complex which would be horrific but give us a deeper insight of that day It would just as bad as 2001 tho
Possibly the closest we'll ever get to seeing them through the lens of a modern camera...as if they were still standing and dominating the NYC skyline like they did for over 20 years.
I've stopped counting the number of people who still want them back and don't like that F thing at all. One commenter wrote this about it: "That damned thing looks like a crack pipe." Agreed.
The shiny facade and the arches on the bottom are captivating. In the 1970s that was a highly unique appearance. Even up to the time of the attacks. I wouldn't mind seeing a 10 or 15 story remake of the old tower just so people can experience it,
@@Egajor We don't have any prosperity left anymore and the US is in pure economic shambles among much, much worse. It will NEVER go back to this period in our history when life didn't suck so damn much.
Well, Minoru Yamasaki also created the Century Plaza Towers in Los Angeles, another pair of twin towers. And there’s the BOK Tower in Tulsa Oklahoma. The person who commissioned Yamasaki to build BOK was so impressed by the WTC that he asked him to build basically a WTC tower at half the size. It’s easily the closest thing to the Twin Towers. The facade and lobby are unmistakably influenced by the Twin Towers.
Still wished I actually gotta see these in person but I was only a baby at the time so I couldn't see the beautiful Twin Towers. New York really isn't the same without them today's Skyline looks different then in the good ol past.
My god i would give and do anything to get these absolute engineering marvels back dominating the nyc skyline. Unfortunately never got the opportunity to see them and would do anything to be able to see them in person. But this is just amazing. It’s like you’re actually looking through a camera lens at the towers as they stand tall and proud.
Hey, i dont know if you will ever see this comment, but this wioo always be real vaporwave to me, the other genres are nice, but vaporwave to me will always be the faint memories of "the good times" when we were optimistic for what the future held for us. When we were striving to build a world on commerce and trade. I wish i could have visited the WTC, it seems like such a humbling experinece being under the Twin Towers, you feel so small. Please never stop making these compilations. They are so soothing and calming. They are optimistic, they have hope for future. Thank you ❤
You're very welcome, and thank you so much for your remarks! Indeed vaporwave will always be my favorite genre of music hands down. Lets hope it'll become the mainstream music of next decade.
It is sad to contemplate that the towers have been gone for almost as long a time as they'd stood. Though I've never set foot in NYC, it's still hard to believe they're not there anymore. They were such an icon.
I only saw them from afar and was sorry I didn't get to visit them. What amazing buildings. It's so sad to see New York city's skyline without them. May everyone who perished that day rest in peace. 🙏🌹
I hope America rebuilt the same iconic structure again somewhere in newyork city without changing the exterior design but with more strength and secure technology to with stand any security threats in future. With out the twin towers newyork looks so dull 😔
Today marks the 23rd anniversary of this tragedy that divided the world into before and after, and despite this, we will never forget this terrible page of history.
i can't understand that people who hates the design of these towers. they're just gorgeous. i think that's the case they look like carton boxes. and now, compare to the new wtc 1. yes, he looks more beatiful. but in a close look, these two pillars are like from another world. i wish if i could be there for 1 day only
and here's one more thing i need to mention. the present one wtc seems to be like useless for us. we have just few videos from there. it's not a WORLD TRADE CENTER anymore. it's an office center. look at this 6:21. that big, that great.
The irony is that apparently most New Yorkers didn’t care for them when they were first build, because they looked like giant concrete pillars in the middle of the financial district
eerie as hell...... made the hairs on my arms stand up, had goosebumps bigtime........ 24 years later and it is just as gut wrenching to think about.. staggering loss of innocent lives that day.... RIP to all those who lost their lives on that day, and to those who lost their lives due to illnesses bought on by 9/11 during the cleanup.
Not only to forget one of the worlds most tragic x worse day, but to remember them 2 once mighty beautys !! Still missing them .... R.i.P to all lost souls and buildings , rest easy !! 🥰🫂🙏❤️🔥🍀🌻🕊
A great video and i liked the songs too! The wonderful dream towers that unfortunately became victims of racism against the american economic supremacy and an absolute nightmare. I've always loved the twins and i was actually collecting lots of pics of them back in 2000 and wanted to visit them. But yea that didn't happen, great. After the infernal event i collected some newspapers with massive articles about them (in swedish) and i even bought a book with only high res pics of the towers. Now i got a gigantic folder even with subfolders (building pics, interior, exterior, destruction), with high res pics on my computer that i created some years ago (but some of these pics i did not find anywhere so good job there). When i was a kid in the 80's i even had a panoramic poster of the skyline including the towers and the brooklyn bridge and later in the late 90's i bought a 4 meter wide, high res photo mural of the downtown skyline and the twins are like a METER tall (3ft) in it, i still got it in a roll but i haven't seen it in 2 decades or more . My mind was blown every time i saw them in movies cause i was a skyscraper nerd and still am (even more). I've designed my own skyscrapers and whole cities since Y2K (23 years, my god) and the twins were my inspiration when i started. RIP i miss them every day and RIP all the victims too. That event changed the world forever
gracias por estas hermosas imagenes, siempre me resultaron hermosas las torres tal vez esto sea lo mas cercano que vere de ellas que en paz descansen a todas esas victimas inocentes.
Back when all was right with the world. All it took was a bunch of scumbags to fly some planes into the towers to put the country in the current state that it’s in.
Watching this video I keep thinking of the song. You belong to the city concrete under your feet living in the river of darkness beneath the neon lights!!!!
a private company - Silverstein Properties was in charge of rebuilding them, and they wanted something completely different. They pushed ahead with the Port Authority of NY and NJ to start their freedom tower, before architect Kenneth Gardner could put down his Twin Towers II project.
Hello, it will maybe sound from nonewhere but I would like to thank you for your aesthetic videos of Twin tower and WTC. Due to your videos, I started watching documentaries about 9/11, before I was believing some kind of conspiracies theories about this tragic event but I really never looked into it because I'm from Europe and I was too young when it happenned. It may sound crazy but I was so shock about all the things I didn't know. Twin Towers are such a beautiful symbol and seeing them before attacks feels surreal. I cried q lot during all those documentaries and videos about 9/11, survivors stories but in this end I'm so glad I did cause it opened my mind to an other perspective. 80s 90s 00s are such dream period and I'm so obssesed with them, it's terrible... Your videos are amazing and feel so refreshing. I'm glad, I clicked on your video who was recommended to me. I still can't believe it, in the follow years I would like to pay repect to all those people by going to NY the 9/11 Memorial Museum. I will always thank you and coming back to your video for some fresh air ♥
@@InqvisitorMagnvs Everything, seeing how he's still a free man. Justice was never served. He committed the biggest insurance fraud in American history and laughs about it in interviews.
It's sad, but also angering the towers were not rebuilt. Anyone can look up the Twin Towers II proposal that existed for a time. We were promised in the immediate aftermath that they would be rebuilt. That which is lost in such tragedies can never be fully replaced. But the Towers didn't have to become objects of pure nostalgia as indeed were destined to become once the Freedom Tower was chosen to become their replacement instead..
The real reason why the NY Port Authority decided not to rebuild the twin towers with Kenneth Gardner's proposal is because Silverstein Proterties was the current owner of the site (which was bizzarely leased three months prior to the attacks). They wanted something different and rushed ahead with their freedom tower concept, despite negative reviews by most New Yorkers. Not only that in 2005, MSNBC did a survey across the country and interviewed most of the victim's families. About 82% wanted new and safer Twin Towers, which would not only heal the wound, but also give a message to the 'terrorist' that we will win. Sadly, America let the terrorists win. Now there is a new concept that myself and others are working on. It's called the World Tech Center, the new Twin Towers, in Chicago. It aims to reincarnate the lovely twins with science buildings. There's a facebook page for it!
In an alternate timeline: “Good morning once again, America, the sun is shining brightly today over the skyline of New York City, as you can see from this beautiful shot of the World Trade Center Twin Towers. To start off this morning, California Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to give a speech today at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles for his 2024 presidential election campaign against President Jeb Bush. Meanwhile in Australia, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Trump International Tower in Sydney, in which acclaimed real-estate businessman Donald Trump says will be the tallest building in Oceania upon completion in 2027. Music fans are in anticipation for Christina Grimmie’s upcoming 5th album set to debut on the 20th of this month, and an interview with the director of the upcoming anime movie that has stirred some controversy over the past few weeks, all the news today, Monday, April 15th, 2024.”
Con esta calidad pareciera que estuvieramos viendo una version alternativa del mundo en la que esas imponentes torres siguieron en pie hasta el dia de hoy. Debio ser increible observarlas en sus años de gloria.
I believe i had in the 90s a book on engineering with that very pic on the cover. If memory serves, it was a Nat Geographic publication that dad gave me as a present.
@@AluminumOxide They aren't just rectangular boxes, they touched the sky.housed malls, shops, offices, hotels.Looking at them gives you a feeling you can't explain!
Hey, absolutely fantastic video, I know you previously responded to my comment and said part 3 of the WTC vapor wave is coming soon but I was wondering will it be available on Spotify? That would absolutely be the best since there’s nothing like that on the platform currently.
@@AluminumOxide I say do it, It will definitely help you grow your presence on the internet, I know many people including myself that would kill to have a good vapor wave playlist made with care!
That shot through the bottom of the towers clearly shows the central support tube, it almost gives one the feeling as though the outer walls of the building were just floating there and the towers were standing on a much smaller foot print inside the base.
Yeah, common sense would tell that at base should be thick walls everything should be wider to support all of that mass above but you approach wtc lobby and you can see thorough the base. This gave impression of wtc defiing physics.
