Bamberg, 2/2 CAv, 1976-1978, How Battery. How quickly the days pass, and how much we wish we had cherished our former times more, now they are unreachable! Try to enjoy today, because one day you may wish to come back. As for me, I long for Germany constantly.

I was on the 109 in Hanau, Germany 89-91 and went back this past fall. Flew into Frankfurt and went to my old base of Fliegerhorst, near Erlensee. It was sad. We also visited Point Alpha a little north of Fulda. That was an eye opener. So much has changed over there.

Wow…Scout platoon CSC Company 1/7 Inf 3rd Bde 3rd ID Mec (1975-76) Aschaffenberg. 1976- duty of patrolling the Berlin Wall different ways for a time period, one of them as on the video, in a couple of jeeps armed with M-2 thru the American sector. Lot of germans stood at the side of the way, thanking us, waiving and/or shaking hands as we went by. It was patrol by choppers too. Day and night! Beautiful experience. Thanks for posting the video.

I was in W. Germany in the Army and thought it to be a great experience except for my narcissistic sergeant. I look at Germany now as being the powerhouse of Europe.
@@thoorwulfn9z383 It's a shame that the US MILITARY has cut so much in Germany; Germany should be ashamed that they bring in all the foreigners and do nothing for the Germans. Shit German Governmant

@@uncleemph3456 Were you in the 556 MP Company or the 525 Ordinance Company ? I don't remember the barber's name , but he was a former SS Officer in WW2. Always felt a bit uneasy when he'd use the straight edge razor.
@@uncleemph3456 Not sure of his name , but remember he was an old German man who had served in the SS in WW2. He would shave our necks with a straight edge razor. It always gave us a strange feeling , based on what he did in the war.
Appreciate the videos and reading our company comments board, guess everyone on the promotion list. Flower Power Dision, 2/75th Batt, 3ACR, Baumholder High 68
I was there too. I was in 340 ASA before they renamed it, transferred to HHT 11ACR. I was friends with a guy in Air Troop named Robert Shearer. He went to Carson after Fulda and I ran into him there. Went to the Army Navy football game in 84.
