We’ve decided to stay with Panther premium logistics. They’ve been very good to us this year.

It was a little shaky at first with panther. Once we figured out how everything works we really started to enjoy it. I believe this is the last company that I’ll ever work for. I’m praying that the purchase of the new van will show panther premium logistics how serious we are. At least I pray that’s the way it works out.

Good morningJerry. I’ve watched hundreds of video on cargo van because I’m trying to switch from driving semis to the van. You are the first person I came across the did the same transition. I use to have my own authority but just want to be under a carrier authority ( less hustle) but I can’t get any info on carriers for cargo van until I came across your video. If you don’t mind telling more about Panthers or other carriers you know of. I would definitely appreciate you. Thank you

I think switching from big truck to van was a great fit for me. If I had it to do again I would have bought my van 20 years ago. Panther/Arcbest/ ARCB is like any other company they have pros and cons. Overall they have kept me moving 6000-8000 loaded miles per month. Think of it like an ambulance. You wait for a load then hurry to get it there and maybe get two days off. This drove me crazy at first. Now I use that time to go to museums, parks and other sightseeing adventures. I’m quite happy and if you want to drive for someone else and let them have the headache I would recommend Panther. If your interested I do have two of my vans for sale.

@@userThe_JerryJr._Show I had my own trucking company but few months ago the transmission on the truck gave up on me and was 28k to repair so I wasn’t going to waste that much money I don’t have on it, but now I’m not feeling the trucking business specially the way the market is right now. If you can give me more details like approximate expenses and weekly gross and other tips that would be nice. I don’t mind the driving. I’m a road ranger.

I have a 2019 freightliner(Mercedes) 2500 deisel sprinter. 144” wheelbase and mid roof(I’m 5’10” and have to duck my head to stand up in it. It has @ 130000 miles. Dent in the back door. For $30,000. It is frill free. I have a 2021 Mercedes 2500 sprinter 170” wheelbase. Easy to stand up in. I have built in a sleeper and the driver area is all Mercedes. Touch screen navigation, leather interior and adaptive cruise control. For $66,700 that’s the one in the video. Only selling because we have another business we are going to focus on. We sell tack to racehorse trainers.

@@userThe_JerryJr._Show I’m more leaning to the Ford van. So what’s is an average weekly gross?

I am getting ready to come to Panther as a driver for a fleet owner. How has your experience been so far? I was a otr truck driver for the past 5 years.

I’m really sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. I started driving over the road in 1992. I drove for about 16 years and was in a wreck and got brain damage. I’ve been recuperating up until three years ago. Almost 2 years ago, I started with Panther, and if I had known the freedom, this job was going to allow me. I would’ve done this 20 years ago. I do on my van, so I don’t know what it’s like to drive for someone else. Good luck!

Not too bad. There’s changes that are happening that I don’t know where they’re going to end up. That makes me a little nervous. Shipping is way down. I’m not exactly sure what I’ll be doing by the end of the summer. My wife and I have another business besides this And we may just focus on that.

I've driven a semi truck solo for years, but am starting at panther in a sprinter van soon for the first time. My partner will join me as we'll be running team runs. Is the pay bad? Is it hard to find parking/which areas are safe? On the semi I averaged 1k weekly.

I started driving big truck in 1992. I did that until 2008 when I was in on a wreck and got some brain damage from it. After 12 years of recouping I got this van and started driving for Panther. If I would’ve known the freedom, I would have driving a van. I would’ve done this 20 years ago. I make just as much money if not more doing this than I did driving semi. The only difference is now I can fuel at Costco and eat at Cracker Barrel. The only thing about driving a sprinter van that is different is you have to look at yourself as an ambulance. When you get your load you drive like heck to get it there and then you may sit two or three days before you get your next load. That drove me crazy at first but now I go to museums, national parks and state parks, and take advantage of the time off. And I still make decent money. Welcome to the team!

@@userThe_JerryJr._Show That's awesome! When I drove for Prime I would have to pay an expensive Uber to visit museums and go sight seeing. The available food means so much too. I feel like I've tried every food menu item from subway at this point hahaha. Being out there for awhile, it's nice to have a break every now and again cause I do value sleep when I can get it. I'm looking forward to it!
