@@senatorclaydavis5539 flex wheeler isn't even in the same ballpark. The dude had to buy one of those new specially made hammer curl bars to break 220. Really the only guy I would put in the league with dennis is Magnus samuelson. Too bad there was no "strict curl" competition back then.. magnus was incredible. Who knows what he could have strict curled, if he ever trained for it.

Apart from Denis in this (great) vid, the two most ridiculous things for me are Kiril's reverse curls and Levan using 80kg as his "high-rep recovery set" weight for seated curls.

Any one with bent knees should be disqualified, the world record holder Dennis keeps his legs straight ,most of these guys are using there thighs to rest it on and cheat with a 15 degrees start off there thighs and using crazy curling bars, Dennis had a regular curl bar and his legs were straight ! Its fine in practicing but not in competition!

And that's how you can tear a bicep or blow a lumbar disc, which screws you for life. Strict, slower, more concentration is the answer. Who cares how much weight you can throw up? Thick solid dense biceps can be built without the risk.

You can generally lift more weight with reverse grip if the wrist holds up because it utilizes more brachialis.

when u see theese guys powercurl (cheatcurl) 120kg I'm not really amazed by it I'm not a big guy and my strict curl max is like 60kg I think and I could power curl 100kg.
