I don't know exactly how to say it, so I'll say it this way : when you hear that name, the first adjective would be "infamous." Jack was one of the most feared and enigmatic real villains that no one would have wanted to cross in his path. Also, although you may not believe it, my dear reader, he is a being that inspires my mind when I seek to give the essence to my fictional character, because I, Francisco Ivanoff, in addition to being a writer, I am also a cartoonist, and I have created a character based a little on me but also inspired by other disreputable characters, and Jack has a bit of that that I have added to my character called Mandark. Returning to the previous topic, Jack will always live in the shadows of the enigma, perhaps we will never know why he really was a cold-blooded murderer against women or who he really was in name, as an appearance. But when one is a being of Darkness itself, mystery will always be the cloak with which one covers oneself, as well as the one with which one takes away one's victims.

I think of the 2001 movie "From Hell" starring Johnny Depp and Heather Graham. The movie has it's inaccuracies, of course; but the dark, shady, terrifying streets of Whitechapel were portrayed in such a way that strikes terror deep in my soul. You could actually feel the tension as if you were really there, and (spoiler alert) Sir Ian Holm did an absolutely chilling performance as Jack the Ripper. I couldn't see anyone else doing the part as well as he did.

The name is inseparable for me from the song "Jack The Ripper" by Morrissey, a towering achievement in word-painting. To listen to the song alone, it sounds almost like a bizarre romantic expression, or a strange sort of intimate encounter between two lovers. I heard it as such many times...then one day I finally saw the title and my pupils shrank to a pinpoint. Everything about it re-framed, as I realized what the lyrics really referenced. I visit London with some regularity. Someday I will find it in me to disembark at the Whitechapel tube station, and walk the streets in question. It's such a lot of godawful, but memory persists.

I am filled with horror when I hear the name, Jack the Ripper. The video and melody capture the theme perfectly. The terribly dark, narrow alleys. The nighttime rain that swallows the murderer's footsteps. The nasty grin on his face and the associated joy that he has found his next victim.😈 The fog hides his figure and his crime and he can then escape unnoticed. What must it look like inside such a "monster"? 😱 From the melody, I think I can tell how he feels when he is looking for his next victim. Well done, thank you very much!🖤❤

He doesn't tell anyone about it, so all his thoughts on the course of events, the preparation and the execution of the crime will take place in secret. Everything he plans is mysterious. The grin on his first face (he is shown twice, very close up) shows pleasure when he thinks about the fact that he is about to commit a crime. A perfect crime and the pleasure is also indicated by the sounds of the waltz. That's how I felt it and even more. In more detail. @@IndAlisa No, because he is a murderer, a serial killer, and people like that often enjoy the suffering they inflict on others. They enjoy torturing others. I don't think "he" feels fear. Neither before nor after. Narcissists think they are perfect. Murderers plan everything carefully. That was the case with Jack the Ripper. He was cruel, really cruel. He certainly wasn't even afraid of being discovered by the police. I can't agree with that. The music/melody expresses what "he" is like. "Cold Heart" says everything about him. Anyone with a cold heart is unaffected by the suffering of others.

Too sinister for me, I feel uncomfortable watching this, although the music is great as usual. With a different video, the same audio would be fine. It's the only one so far I didn't give a thumbs up, solely because of the evil associations.
