You like Mareux? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Predestiny Ep came out in '20, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of exquisite professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Mr. Kitty, but I think Mareux has a far more bitter, cynical sense of vibe. In '21, Mareux released this; The Perfect Girl, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "The Perfect Girl". A track so ethereal, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the captivation of love and the mystery of attraction. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
Absolutely perfect. Wonderfully done. The synchronization of the beat and the flashes of the movie fit so well. Like a cool breeze on a 72 degree weather with the sun blazing.
@@eatpeachesbananasandcantalope i did not ment about the movie being sadness i said it as motivational its something i relate to my life being all sadness and turns into anger
without a doubt. One of the best songs I heard. Especially how it would most defiantly suit American psycho and our based sigma male character Patrick Bateman ofc!
I loved the part where Patrick Bateman said “It’s American Psychoin’ time” and American Psycho’ed all over his victims, truly one of the moments of all movie history
@@MaximBG Altough I agree that the people who surrounded Patrick didn't care enough to notice the signs, some of the murders are delusions on my opinion. He wouldn't been able to escape from the police if he really had killed the elder lady or gotten away going after a woman with a chainsaw. The murders he did commit were all the homeless people, prostitutes, and Paul Allen.
*Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer song writing, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.*
I live in the American Gardens building on West 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Patrick bateman and I am 27 years old. I really like to take care of myself, I eat a balanced diet and do a strict exercise routine, if I wake up with a slightly swollen face I put on a cold mask while doing sit-ups, I can do up to a thousand. After taking off the cold mask I use a deep cleansing lotion to clean the pores, during the shower I use a massager gel, then an oil based on honey and almonds and on the face an exfoliating gel. Then I apply a mint face mask for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries out the skin on my face and makes it age old. Then a moisturizer , an anti wrinkle eye cream followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion . The idea of Patrick Bateman , it's a kind of abstraction but I'm not that in reality , that's an entity... It's illusory , although I can hide my cold gaze and squeezing my hand you feel my flesh and even think we have the same lifestyle I... I just don't exist.
