@@CityPopClassics.thanks man i appreciate this, i was also looking for playlists n everyone was just using the exact same songs we’ve all already heard over n over.
I LOVE city pop...how dared those 90s Japanese kids calling it 'shitty pop' :\ also, thank you for NOT including the same old songs that people already know by heart because they are literally in EVERY OTHER LIST! :)
I grew up on the American music from the 70s-90s, it's such a shame I never thought of looking up music from the same time period but from different cultures! Every one of these songs have been absolutely beautiful :) Deep appreciation for Japan 🫶
this playlist is CHEFS KISS. Most playlists these days are all the same and have the same popular city pop songs....this one finally has ones i haven't heard yet and its so good. thank you so much for curating this one!!!!
@@tong.tranquang Thank you !! There are two versions of her debut song and I love both!! I used the 1996 version of Olivia o Kikinagara for this video but the debut version is wonderful too. I like it so much that I might use that version in next video too 😆 Miki Matsubara and Nina Atsuko have so many hidden gems🤩 I'm really happy you liked the video. Stay tuned for more !
Thanks for the upload! I really been surprised few years ago, when l found out Asians fusion music is so funky cool. I'm keyboardist myself, so l know something about music!
Japan has been making fusion music since 1960's. Jsyk, Japan was one of the pioneers that contributed to Jazz-rock fusion in 1970's. Japan has always been good at making music
nossa essa playlist é muito boa, meus pais não gostam desse tipo de musica, mas quando toquei no carro durante nossa viagem, eles elogiaram. O clima ficou muito bom.
I had a neighbor that had a little Mazda RX-7 like the one that is in the thumbnail, but he swapped out the rotary engine for a small block Chevrolet engine.
