Y'know, funny thing is that I've tried to emulate that kind of fun schedule on the weekend sometimes as an adult (albeit with modern digital technology instead of vhs), and while such weekends are precious and enjoyable, I think it didn't feel the same because as an adult you've seen a lot more of the world than when you were a kid when you were experiencing the novelty of new things, experiencing a lot of life for the first time. I think that's why it's so important as an adult to maintain that child-like curiousity and excitement about things, and gratitude. And keep experiencing new things and being present and savouring the moment. Because it's so easy to feel jaded when we don't treasure things that once meant so much to us. (That, on top of being more future-oriented with developed adult brains haha)

@@JemiDove I think my biggest problem with adulthood is responsibility. Even saying that sounds childish, but it is. On top of wonderment, being a child ( for most) is carefree. Playing game or watching shows often feels unrestricted. You don’t have a realistic worry for the future. Now, when you play games, or even just relax in general, there’s always an idea in the back of your mind that “there’s work to be done” which doesn’t allow you to be fully immersed in what you’re doing. At least, I often find that’s the case for me. I’d say I’m still a rather curious fellow.

ahhh man this fusion is so good, so many of my childhood favorites in this bundle. That extra level of nostalgia to the relaxing flow of synth/ retrowave is just perfect. I will say, I am picky about how I like my Synthwave to sound, so that’s definitely the reason it’s keeps a pretty consistent vibe throughout the whole mix.

David Wise worked at Rare as a lead composer at the time. As both games were made by Rare I’d say it’s very likely he composed for both. Edit: I should also mention it’s not uncommon for him to use similar or same melodies across his games.

I got to a song that made me think "what the heck? This sounds like it's from Never Ending Story or something, it doesn't sound like a Nintendo track." It was Life in the Mines from Donkey Kong Country 🤣 Once I read the title I recognized it. Such a well-remixed track though, I was really vibing to it.

Considering every single track is a remix, I’d say yes. Though, I’m not the proprietor of any of the music here, so you’d probably have to ask the respective artists who remixed the tracks. But they have been very kind to me, so I don’t think you’d have a problem of you just used it and gave them credit.

@@MrMindCloud dont get me wrong, i appreciate your efforts in this mix, its just that after NES i went Genesis and then Play Station, i didnt play these games... the composers and musicians who worked with the extremely limited sound chip of the NES made some real magic in my eyes(ears). i guess "limitations breed creativity". i also find it hard to find good remixes of original NES music, idk why, youd think theres abundance of people who love it and grew up with it. either way, keep up the good work!
