With all due respect, Kiara really isn´t a great example of how german speakers pronounce english. Cecilia definitely is the more common accent. So it really isn´t a matter of Cecilia being an online junky. Maybe the Austrian/Southern german accent makes it harder to learn english pronunciation but don´t quote me on that

@@JBasilix Kiara's accent is very distinctly austrian. germans and austrians accents are pretty similar in many ways, but can still be easily told apart. Cecilia's accent is what a very good english speaking german sounds like. definitely way above the norm. Kiara's accent is also better than almost anything you would hear in austria. even at universities, or in companies, where people speak english daily.

Uh...no. That's pretty straight forward. Actually, the word "straight" is a much better example. Not only is there a silent "h", but the "g" is silent as well, since it accompanies the "h". English is a very fucked up language.

I always wondered how that one came to be a thing because I never heard a German actually struggling with it. The "th" is much more difficult for German speakers, like Kiara and CC also mentioned in their conversation. I would say maybe 20% of German-speakers have a good pronunciation of the English "th".

as an ESL person, when you start to learn vocabulary by mostly reading/writing, but not speaking much, you end up guessing the pronunciation of a lot of words and they stick to you because in your head that's how you always said it. Happened a lot to me when I learnt most of my vocabulary through manga lol

Not gonna lie, im mostly a JP Holo head, until i met... I think to be exact, Biboo. Then i started to watch EN more, yeah, EN isnt my first language, its mandarin. Another thing is that, i hardly see and watch Cecelia properly, because i usually pick only 1 in a gen to watch, like an Oshi in every gen for my cult. I picked Waowa at first, well because shes very cute, I kinda like the way she is speaking and everything she does is having the Pink Bubble wrapping around... Until i think today, I reviewed some Justice clips of Cecilia, 1 is the Zelda Gambling treasure box? And this clip, i somehow need to change my way of seeing CC. Like she is cute, in a very observative way, and able to give the perfect and correct answer for every passive questions. (Active question are the one that can be seen directly in words or very obvious)... Like man, she is a genius. So i would now declare, Im back to DD, Daremo daisuki, but put more of my eyes on the one i like the most now... Kami Oshii - Nene, Raden, Biboo, Fauna, CC, Kiara Oshii = Everyone

Honestly she might have an easier time challenging Raora but words would probably need to be different words since I have to imagine an Italian accent struggles with different words than a German/Austrian accent. Honestly, I know A-Chan wasn't quite native... but it feels like the perfect thing for her to judge. I mean, she often seemed to host competitions and stuff. Shame she's gone.
