On one hand, I almost never believe when a successful, attractive and actively wanting relationship female vtuber is single (it is extremely easy for such a woman to be in a relationship; even not famous, just normal women, have it easy with all these dating apps, etc.). On the other hand, I can't think of any good reason Rissa would be lying, as she mentioned her marital status quite a few times, basically from her debut (if she wanted to hide it, it would be enough just not to talk about this topic at all, and nobody would know). So maybe she is not lying about being single. Either way, even though I have always been single my whole life, I just want our talents to be happy (and Rissa clearly said she dreams of her family), so I would be just happy for her if she announced dating/marriage (in this situation, I would want full clarity and morality, so absolutely zero GFE, zero thirst topics, etc. - it would be honest for jailbird, her and her partner).
@@piotr004 I think that sometimes being attractive and well known is the issue. finding people that actually like you compared to people who just want a lay or are obsessed would be much more difficult.

I've always wondered what it would be like to have a corpo VTuber be openly married. I realize married indies exist but the indie scene is a different dynamic.
I know there's a NijiJP who has a wife and kid, but then again he's a guy so I imagine the reaction would be wildly different compared to if it were a girl VTuber. Plus I think there's a huge difference between starting the career already married vs getting married midway, not to mention the difference in reception based on which corpo they're in.
The only downside is that it'll be public, to an extent and if there's any heartbreak(hopefully not) whatever amount of parasocialism we have will hit us like a brick with the same aftershock.

Indeed, in the past you'd get people selling things by a foot or a hand or an arm and you'd send a family member with the longest of that body part to the merchant to buy it so you could get the most for your money.
