Luego de elegir "My Iron Lung" como su próximo single, la banda se distrajo aun más de la finalización del álbum por la necesidad de grabar seis lados B para el lanzamiento doble. "Al ser lados B, no quieres que sean muy buenos", dijo John Leckie (productor del EP), "por lo que pasamos de hacer grandes éxitos a temas no tan buenos cuando en realidad lo que queríamos hacer era un álbum. Eso provocó que muchos se preguntaran, '¿qué carajos estamos haciendo?'". El ritmo incesante y vibrante y los acordes descendentes recordaban mucho a "Kevin Carter" de Manich Street Preachers, lanzado un par de años antes. Las letras son muy surrealistas.
Para los estándares de The Bends, este tema es relativamente ligero, tanto respecto a su música y sus letras, al punto de que sus arreglos directos y garagescos recuerdan mucho a Pablo Honey. Este tema fue uno de los primeros en ser grabados durante las sesiones en The Rak, durante Marzo y Abril (1994) y nunca fue considerado como algo mas que un bside para el simple sucesor de Creep. Rara vez se tocó en directo (una vez en 1994 y 9 veces entre 1997 y 1998) y nunca recibió mucha atención. Es una canción especialmente ruidosa para la banda, con una progresión que recuerda al heavy metal.
En el estudio de la mitología y los arquetipos psicológicos utilizados en la literatura oral o escrita, un embustero es un personaje muy inteligente y astuto. No son ni buenos ni malos, sino que se apartan de las reglas normales y del comportamiento convencional, utilizando sus habilidades para gastar bromas a otras personas, espíritus o animales, algunos ejemplos famosos son Loki de la mitología nórdica, Anansi de los cuentos de África Occidental y el Caribe, y el Coyote de los mitos de los nativos americanos.
