When I was younger I used to be basicly all by myself, so I seek comfort in stars, I would spent hours standing in an empty field looking up on them, they have been almost like a friend for me. Now I grew up, things have been so much better but I still sometimes just sit on the roof looking at the night sky, feeling like a kid. Since I was a child, I was obsessed with stars, I'm autistic. I used to have a friend who is also neurodivergent and together we used to say we would be astronauts, we spend hours reading books about stars, looking at the sky and trying to discover the secrets of the universe. Today we are very distant, I have no idea where she is, and we don't talk it's been like 10 years? But to this day, I find beauty in that little moment where we used to be close. She is long gone, but the stars are still here. In 2018 when I first installed sky walk, I was finally able to identify all the stars I was seeing. I will always remember in 2019 when Betelgeuse, Antares and Rigel used to be with me all night, when I felt the worst in my life. It's incredible how for these stats, they live a time that for us it's mostly infinity. What I wanted to say is, the years passed, but the stars are still here. Being neurodivergent, people really makes me conflicted, but the stars, just like the animals, for me are incredible beings that just existing bring me so much comfort. I am glad I was able to live a live where I can name the stars in the night sky, in my city mostly people don't even know what a star is made

i’m 17 and i suffer from anxiety since i was 6 due to the death of a family member, my aunt, who was my safe place. my household was usually loud, full of yelling and anger, but when i was around her nothings else mattered, not even sound existed. i remember looking at the night sky, staring at the stars, wondering which one of them was my aunt, but nowadays when i look at them, i feel the safety i used to feel when i was with her. I like to think the stars take care of me at night. thank to you auntie. (:

this is so so so special. it’s such a specific childhood feeling. the glittery rainbow stars and black background. it reminds me of so much. a lot of times when i think about my childhood it doesn’t feel comforting. but this is a comfort i have not felt in years. im suddenly back in my aunts house in the little kid bedroom lying in bed looking out the window at the slightly still light sky. the room smells like clean linen. the lamp is one with its soft warm toned comforting light. and there’s this little plushie doll by me. and it has a star on it that glows in the dark. and there’s glow stars on the wall. and my aunt pretends to sprinkle fairy dust on me so i can sleep. it reminds me of all the good times. and the warm peace that washes over me when i know everything is okay.

This reminds me of a dream I had the other night, I was on the edge of the universe just looking at everything and I was with my family but we were there to watch some natural event take place. Then it started it was like a supernova of psychedelic hallucinations then in my dream I realized it's the end of everything but it's ok because there's nothing we can do but sit back and watch the beautiful show before the end. Crazy dream so many beautiful colors and emotions

This makes me feel like I’m a kid again. When I was bad my parents would lock me in my room + I wouldn’t be allowed to leave or eat, sometimes for a whole day. But at night I would crawl out my window and climb up onto the roof where my brother would be waiting for me. We’d sit on the roof and watch the stars and he always brought me food he’d snuck out of the kitchen because he knew I was starving. I wasn’t ok back then but I always felt safe sitting on the roof watching the stars with him. RIP

this is so nostalgic for me, because while the other children were all playing happily, running, observing and discovering the world, I was closed in a hospital, patiently waiting for the day when I could play with them, but unfortunately that day didn't come never, because I was too old for these things. Only now do I realize how nice it would have been to see the world through my child's eyes.

i went swimming late at night yesterday, calming myself to just relax. i had a good time and swam over to the deep end. i started to float and look at the stars, just admiring it. i didnt care about anyone around me, just the sky. suddenly i tilted my head and saw a shooting star. seeing that just made me think our world is beautiful. and full of wonders i never knew, it’s so comforting..

this reminds me of when i was only such a little child, with such a caring big brother, always before bed my parents would turn on the night light and read a bedtime story, as we both drift away to sleep in our bunk bed, it feels as if i'm re-living that memory by simply watching and listening to this video... The words I remember, laying in my bed as my mother quoted the books message: "Can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!" Good times, but nostalgia always comes and passes, just that you know that's the thing you cherish most, nostalgia gives you sense of comfort of when life wasn't complicated in your eyes, but as people get older, life gets harder. So the only thing they feel like doing is reminiscing, and that's okay. Everybody can rest their eyes and go back to when they loved their life at the highest, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't continue with your future, there's endearing sights that will still leave you in awe, so find those new memories and think of them by more older times of your life. This is now my favorite playlist on youtube. The music is like music I've been waiting for. It feels so personalized to childhood memories. It makes me think of a lite bright box, fuzzy coloring boards, looking into a kaleidoscope for the first time, staring at glow stars on the ceiling, coloring while everyone is sleeping, learning how to read and seeing shooting stars; all in one feeling.

i just stumbled upon this video in my reccomended page and im so lost and dissociated by this playlist, all of the songs are somewhat melancholic and some even eerie, which is interesting but this visual combined with this type of music just fills me with an emotion that i cant quite explain, its like all of these calm more slow and softer songs are embracing you toward them with their atmosphere but this visual feels like an ongoing event of complete insanity, a swarm of thousands upon thousands of stars appearing and disappearing randomly in the air with no rhyme or rhythem, it signifies to me that im supposed to be overwhelmed as if this was happening on earth and i was to run for shelter or go explore amongst the chaos but despite this overwhelming feeling i feel as if the music is calling in a different direction, as if to ignore the chaos and complexity and fall back into the warm embrace of blissful ignorance and soothing music. and the title gets me again in a different way, this individual wants me to journey across this entire universe with me? i dont know who they are but they wish for me to accompany them on this grand task of which we both fully acknowledge we will be long gone before that could even *start*, and yet the way the title rubs off on me feels worded in a way that suggests they don't mind that, or that it doesnt apply to them. these emotions are very confusing and nobody will read this becauseI know there's probably hundreds of super heartfelt comments with a bunch of paragraphs about how emotional this makes them feel or something but I'm just going to throw mine in the pile just for the record. and once again that feeling of being so small in a gigantic overwhelming place not knowing if I could explore at all is there again, it's somewhat disquieting to an extent but the music still comforts me regardless.

I wasn't prepared lol. Y'know I just liked the look of your thumbnail, it looked like a fun little space ambient mix of carefree music, didn't look at the tracklist; and then I realized how bittersweet and touching the tracks actually were, and I felt like I had already heard some of the tunes. Then the last track hit me and I just froze and started crying. This music is so dear to me, it has been a long time since I watched Castle in the Sky, the first Miyazaki I have ever watched. I always, always get tearful when I hear this track in particular, so I was really taken aback and all the emotions and memories started overflowing, you really got me lol. Crying at age 6, crying at age 25, doesn't matter, some things are just too beautiful and close to our heart to let go and forget about how they make us feel. And each night when they lay be to bed and turn off the lights, the sticked stars on the ceiling would glow (they were glow in the dark.) And I would stare at them, every single night, until they start to fade away, and drift myself to sleep. And with the music heavily reminds me of childhood nights. Usually I don't comment on videos, especially not these type of things, but this playlist has grown so special to me. This playlist was posted on the one year anniversary of being together with my girlfriend, someone I always associated with the stars. Lately it's been quite tough, and I've struggled to not let myself sink down already. Long distance is absolutely merciless, and sometimes the said stars feel so distant, that I start feeling really, really lonely, since she's everything I have. This playlist really reminds me of the warmth we once had and hope to restore with her. I'll be moving to an unfamiliar country in 12 days, just for her, and I really hope things will work out. As I drifted further and further down it became increasingly hard to move. All I could see when I closed my eyes was a faint glowing yellow hoop slowly approaching me. If I kept my mind on it, I could drift all the way through the center of the hoop without losing my concentration; which really felt like an achievement to me. In my mind, I built myself an imaginary trophy cabinet, and awarded myself a small keepsake for each time I successfully drifted through the circlet. Well done, I thought. Well done indeed.

as you drift through the stars a odd figure approach's, you feel yourself pulled through the abyss fast, then a flash of colorful light fills your vision... stars, like the ones you had on the ceiling of your room when you were a kid, showering the cosmos in beautiful light, and a comforting tune starts playing, your oxygen stops running out, safety, outlined with wonder and awe, "what is this?" yet no reply rings out, and you slowly calm down, letting yourself drift once more, and stare into the colorful lights surrounding you

Stuff like this makes my heart hurt for no reason. It's a nostalgia of something I never had. Thing is, I don't even know what I never had. Whether it be my childhood, a happy family, or something else, I just don't know. But I do remember that I had glow in the dark stars on my bedroom ceiling when I was very young. They were dinosaurs. I remember staring at them when I would get scared at night, I never slept as a kid. The house those were in caught fire and I had to live with my grandmother but I remember visiting it a few years later and they were still there. My dinosaur stars.

I find great comfort in the sky. So many times in my life everything felt so out of control. It was overwhelming. Sometimes I would lay on the ground and stare up at the sky just taking it in. Somehow I found comfort in the emptiness of it all. I would imagine myself flying into it, far above the clouds. I remember when me and my brother would sit and play Kirby's epic yarn game and he would insist on getting the epic power ups because he was better at using them (he was) but I would get to them faster and he would tell me to use them a certain way as to not waste them and I would just plow though. The visuals are so comforting. It’s so beautiful, and for some reason it makes me miss those late nights, you know? Trying to stay up as much as possible when you were a kid? That feeling was something else I swear. Hard to explain it but this just makes me feel so nostalgic.

i listened to this while i was high yesterday and oh my god that was probably the best thing ive ever experienced. it felt like i was a child again, i could see so many of my childhood memories so vividly, and some that i couldnt even remember consciously. every little thing was a reminder to when i was a child, and it felt like i was six years old again. i was just in a trance for like ten minutes, listening to this playlist.
