this clip is my way of saying that i really love their dynamics, and please when are we getting Dead Space 3 collab source : • Video Featured Vtubers : @IkeEveland @SelenTatsuki
I know half of it is just for the show But God I hate people insisting on high FPS when they don't need it, like dead space needs none of those extra frames to hit stuff
Lmao, i love their exchanges in this clip, the coping was outta this world. I really relate to Ike in this case with tech supporting friends sometimes.
@@zomfgroflmao1337 the funny thing is, until a few months ago, I literally thought FPS games were called that bc they are such fast paced games and in shooters ppl say they need all the frames and such. So basically "a game that needs many FPS". Idk why and when they even re-named ego shooters to first person shooters, which is even the same meaning but fps already was an abbreviation for smth else, so a bad choice imo ^^ But maybe ego shooters has a bad reputation since the early 00s, so they re-named it? 🤷
@@Mara_1337 I don't remember when "Ego shooter" was phased out in favor of "Arena" and "Tactical" shooters, and of course much more recently with "Boomer" shooters.
Why they gotta call me out like that at 2:55 😭💔 I am that person who is like "omg their tracking is so smooth and it's so fascinating, I wonder what tech they use and the rigging is just splendid omg look at those expressions blablabla" lol
@@raythevtubersaddict I am not a very good artist myself but aside from that 🤝 As also a big niji fan, it's almost too bad that their models are kinda held back a bit by the company standard. I get it for equality and cost with so many livers in one company, but when you see what indies sometimes get made where just money is the limit, there truly is some impressive performative art created. My most recent "wow" effect was OnigiriEN's newest model and also always Zen (I always wanna know everything about how they do such good 3D tracking aaaah niji 3D is also truly a blessing!)
... is it though? borderless windowed is a thing and this mode doesn't care about what game supports or not, it simply uses desktop refresh rate + gsync in windowed mode works too. what really painful is old games on 21:9 monitor.
@@deadlymecury But what about games that freaks out with higher fps? Like bugged physics in Dead Space 1 (not remake). Or in windowed mode it doesn't matter and game internally runs at like 60fps and interpolates by gpu/drivers?
@@NaoNakashima no, usually the game runs at refresh rate set for desktop (game can't even control refresh rate at this point) and activated gsync and vsync in nvidia global settings doesn't let it overshoot target fps.
I have a 144 Hz monitor that I can overclock to 160 Hz. But at that point it starts getting unstable. I relate to Selen. Bringing it back down to 144 Hz and I'm like "I paid for 160 and dang it I'M GETTING 160 . My fraaaaames!"
I remember during this part, my quality set itself to 144p so when Selen's frames were being moved around. All I was seeing was a purple blur moving left to right
I like how every time Selen says something weird there’s a long pause after that, I remember that happens many times with Nijidads I like how this is basically an arguments between two people about frames because they get such a good PC This clip alone have four best Ike Eveland lines “She even have 18 toggles” “She ain’t cooking sh*t” “I’m trying to tech support YOU” “You have the frames Selen, it’s just that some of the frames have to stay with Tazumi-san in the weekends
I only play games on console (with an old ass TV to boot) so anytime Selen starts going on about frames and hz and whatnot it's a window into a whole other world of coping and seething lol
I play World of Tanks on a console, everytime I try to take cover behind a tank's wreck then counter-fire, I wish I could turn off the smoke and fire effects from destroyed tanks. I miss having a PC.
@@Maki_Moon yup there is a reason 60 or 144 is standard screens as it does the job. 60 is enough for most things, exeption would be apex where higher might be helpful but even then 60 is good enough. There is a reason I am not touching 4k screens with a 10 feet pole as they are overpriced as shit and most things can't even use it...some older titles that run their animations based on screen refreshrates even break....hence why capping is good.
Some people build PCs to have a similar price as a consoles, some (like me) build PCs to look cool with a color scheme and lots of lights, and others build PCs that have more power than God and can double as a room heater lol.
Lmao the "American Psycho" requote is just perfect Now if this was on some shiz like idk... Bandicam there'd be another line "OH MY GOD! IT EVEN HAS A WATERMARK!"
5:20 “You see, at this point, I’m not trying to tech support the game, I’m trying to tech support *YOU*!” Ike, my friend, your putting me lower than six feet in the ground with this 😂
this duo is one of the least expected for me to have such good dynamic lmao what is this supportive big brother molding for out of control carefrer sister lol
Selen giving off them addict suffering from withdrawal vibes. XD "J-J-J-Just fifty more frames is good right? I know I need to cut back, but just a few more frames and then I'm good!"
This is striking a really delicate balance between being very funny and also being deeply frustrating that someone is like this over framerate. Like if I were to parody someone like that I wouldn't have gone this far.
The frames want to tell you something you physically cannot see them our brains can only see 60fPS or are eyes can’t go that fast. Even if you had a 280fps you’re really not gonna notice a damn thing your brain just tells you it looks better
Some studies put it around 75hz, but nothing past that. The point of a higher frame rate isn't to see the individual frames (because that is impossible to humans), but give the eye multiple images to construct a frame out of, as this is closer to real life (unlike video cameras, the eye does not have a shutter) which makes the brain "accept" the eye's signals more easily. Although, that difference is lost on me personally, so my own crappy monitor suits me just fine for the moment
@@void-creature You can see the differences pretty clearly past 75hz simply moving your mouse across the screen because of persistence of vision. Whether it's worth the money is subjective. You could say that most people can't react fast enough to the additional information to make it worth it, others could say just the fact that it looks smoother and more enjoyable is enough.
@@void-creature I'm curious which studies you've read put it at 75hz, because the one I read from August 2021 saw that even from 240hz to 360hz, eSports players saw noticeable improvements in reaction time
@@ramennnoodle study was from 2014, and measured how quickly humans can detect an individual image (13 milliseconds, which means we are capable of seeing roughly 75 images per second) most/all previous studies put it around 60 or even lower. The improved reaction time at 240hz most likely isn't because they see more individual images, but because the brain finds the images it receives less jarring due to the reasons I mentioned in my first comment
I still have to play most of my game at sub 30 since most of the time I can only play on my laptop, not my PC. So while I know more frames = good, and can tell the difference, my sometimes sub-20 FPS torture has at least made me near immune to being bothered by low FPS. Blessed are we who suffer in low FPS: when the FPS is low, we endure, and when it's high, we reap all the benefit and THEN SOME.
