To the person who read this, It’s been hard for you, I know, and it makes me sad that you don’t see yourself in the way I see you. Sometimes they are things in life that cause us to loose ourselves, and the way you have is so unimaginable painful. I miss your smile, the way your eyes light up the whole room just by the sound of your laughter. This was playing in an astronomy event on the first time I met my best friend/crush. The event was being held on a kind of meadow and it was pretty dark, but the sky was full of stars and constellations, and there were not too many people, but they were all in the area with more lights and telescopes. I wanted to get some alone time so i could appreciate the view alone (that place was breathtaking), so i went further away from the people, but i could still hear the music very well. I was about to sit on the grass, but then I forgot about taking my phone w me (to take pics) so i was turning around to go back, but on that moment, I heard the song saying "oh take me back to the night we met" and i bumped on someone's chest. That's when i saw him, looking at me. Then, i heard a bell ringing. He said "oh, where does that bell come from? We're in the middle of a meadow" and we giggled, while looking at each other. He sat there with me and we stargazed together and got to know each other, and we clicked so good together, it felt like it was fate. Nowadays, we're best friends, but we're also in love with each other, and everytime we hear this song, we cry because it felt so special for both of us... Oh, and detail: no one else heard a bell ringing that night. weirdly, we were the only ones who heard it.

It’s been officially 3 years since my best friend committed. We were so happy together, you couldn’t tell she was going to commit. We would walk to school together, eat together, basically do everything together. She was beautiful and kind. One day, some girls from another school bullied her on the school dance, they ripped up her handbag that her dad bought for her I was told. Unfortunately I wasn’t there for her, I never saw her at school the next day. Then after 2 days, she shows up at school, a smile on her face, like nothing happened. She comes up to me and says her dad had died from stage 3 cancer, the handbag her dad bought was his passing gift. She never was the same after that day, she was distant, she became more detached from the world. Until 3 weeks later, she messaged me on the holidays “I’m doing it, I can’t deal with it anymore, I want to see my dad. I know you’re my friend but you’re not changing my mind.” I knew what she meant, so I said, “I’ll be there for you.” The next week, we sat at her favourite spot on the bridge overlooking the town. The sun was starting to set, we had this very song playing, it was one of her favourites. We just sat there in silence, then when the song finished, exchanged what we thought was the best trait in eachother, brutally honest. Then we just hugged for a good 4 minutes, then she stood up and gave me a note to hand to her mum explaining everyhting. We tagged our names on the bridge wall. She then gave me one last hug, I said goodbye, she looked at the setting Sun, then jumped. i’ve liked my best friend for over a year and finally decided to tell her “i love you zo this won’t change anything i promise” that’s what she told me. i just want to go back to the night we met.

This was one of our favorite songs. We found out that we liked eachother after crushing on eachother for a couple years. We talked a whole lot. And after all of that time, I don't know why we were still friends. We went out together one night after a dance with my two best friends. After that, she didn't talk to me for a couple days before telling me that we should just stay friends. The feeling of losing someone that close to me somehow hurt more than any other breakup I've had. We still talk occasionally, but sometimes I can't even look at her without tears welling up in my eyes. Writing this as of December 17 2023, I'm only 15 years old. It just hurts too much when you try to smile it's fake, and people can see it's fake and ask why you can’t smile, and you open your mouth to speak but. it just keeps opening and closing, no words can come out because all your words get stuck in your throat. I just wanna know life is easier when you're happy if it's all butterflies and rainbows. I wanna know what it feels like to not be the disappointment of the family. I wanna know what it feels like to be appreciated and loved by someone because, all the love that I felt was fake it didn't even feel real, even though they loved me or, at least they said they did. I wanna know what real love feels like. I wanna know why people hurt you so much. I wanna know why people call me names. I wanna know why they body-shame me. I just wanna know why, because what have I done to them to deserve what they're doing to me. It's hard just to cope with school, and with all the things that are going on in the world and people just make it harder for me. I know, I can just ignore them but sometimes being bullied for nine years straight, sometimes you can't ignore it anymore. as of right now, my grandpa is dying. he’s my whole world. he’s been in heart failure, and he’s now going into liver failure. he’s being signed up for hospice soon and I just can’t take it. im so upset and if i lose him then i’ll lose my whole world. he’s got me through so much, he’s like my parent. he’s taught me so much, and we have so many inside jokes that I’ll never be able to share with him again. he was given months to live 14 years ago, and now time is wearing out. i can’t believe it. my heart hurts and I’ve cried in his arms about this whole situation everyday for a week. he said “live on, I don’t want you to be sad. I don’t want to hold you back from life. I love you so much, you’re my whole world. I’m so so proud of you. I love you.” It hurts man. UPDATE: he is now hallucinating and hearing things that aren’t happening around him and he can’t hear as well. this is a part of the dying process and im still very upset. UPDATE: he is almost completely nonverbal and bedridden. this is a very tough time for me.
