Noir Alibi as far as I concerned there are no krave beauty counterfeit, fake items yet ( but its good to take safety measures, usually if the shop sells other korean beauty brands such as Etude House, Innisfree, Apieu and etc, and not selling weird products that has nothing to do with Kbeauty, than rest assured it’s probably authentic 💓) and the price can be quite similar or even more expensive than Liah’s price as they consider service charge.

Did it dry you out a lot? What is your skin type? I am thinking about byuying it and starting to use it, but I'm not sure. My skin doesn't usually get irritated easily from outside(more like from something I eat), and I can take acids without any pain. I use the 30% AHA peeling solution from the Oridinary and it doesn't even sting...But I am still not sure. Would really like to know more about your experience!

@@einsame_Maria My skin is crazy sensitive, and I've had a hard time trying to find a retinol I can use. This is the only retinol I can consistently use! I had no drying or peeling, but I'm careful to not use it too often or with any other actives. To me it sounds like your skin will be able to tolerate it well, you can maybe even try the 5%… Good luck!

I found many comments are confusing about retinoid, retinoic acid, and retinol. Here's the explanation Retinoid is a name for a class of chemical compound that are chemically related to Vitamin A. So, retinol and retinoic acid are a type of retinoid Retinol is retinoid with alcohol, chemically called hydroxyl (-OH). That's why the name end with -ol. But this does not mean that retinol has the side effects that alcohol has. Retinoid acid can be metabolised in our body from Retinol and tretinoin is a type of retinoid acid. Please correct me if I'm wrong. XD
@hot_salsa_dipping_sauce
@hot_salsa_dipping_sauce 4 года назад
I've been paying attention in chemestry class since I got into skincare and I subconsciously knew the difference between retinol and retinoic acid because of their terminations. What ends with -ol or -one is basically an alcohol and -oic is an acid (there are multipe terminations for acids, but that's the most common I think)
@theluckycharmms
@theluckycharmms 3 года назад
The term retinoids is basically an umbrella term for all Vitamin A derivatives. For example we have retinol, tretinoin, adapalene, retinol esters,, granactive retinoid etc.. and they are all retinoinds (vitamin A derivates). The difference is, tretinoin and adapalene are direct retinoic acids and the others are OTC (over the counter) forms which need to be converted into retinoic acid by the skin at a cellular level in order to have the same effect. I hope this makes things clearer for some of you guys :)

I was prescribed 0.1% Tretinoin cream about a year ago and when I first tried it, my skin reacted HORRIBLY. The peeling and redness were so bad, I decided to stop. But a few months passed and I became a lot more educated and mindful about how to take care of my skin and what products to use, so I decided to try my tretinoin again and it’s been AMAZING. I’ve only been using it for about 2 weeks now but there’s already been so much of an improvement and I’m so happy! There’s been no irritation at all and the flaky skin is so much better than before, you can barely even tell! So it goes to show how important it is to know how to treat your skin well to get the best results out of your routine! 😊

I love my skincare, but I have to say, I'd be a bit hardpressed to choose if it was literally that cheap to get laser treatments like that in the US. I know a lot of Koreans go to skincare clinics, but for those who don't what kind special ingredients do their anti-aging products contain? Always consult a doctor of course but in case no one has mentioned it already, retinoid/retinol/tretinoin products can be harmful to a developing baby when pregnant. More information is needed, but it's something to consider if you become pregnant and have been using a vitamin A product. You might want to switch it out for the time being. But once again, it's always up to you to weigh pros and cons in addition to any advice from your doctor. No hate, just something I thought was useful knowledge that people might be unaware of :)

Liah, I have just discovered Krave and I am hooked! Thank you for making wonderful products at decent prices. If you could make an anti-aging product that included Bakuchiol, it would be amazing!

I switched between the ordinary ones and a doctor's prescription, it works wonders for my homonal acne, but, everyone that would like to use this, needs to know, that you have to be consistent with it and your skin will be dry A.F.

Will using retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol etc in 20-es age makes our skin lazy to reproduce the collagen because it's always helped and when we become 50 it doesn't work anymore?
@firnheledien
@firnheledien 5 лет назад
Retinoids enhance your skin's natural cellular processes. It doesn't make the skin lazy, on the other hand it makes it work harder like how it was in your childhood.

After the long long long journey that I've been through, finally you got me what to do and not to with the retinol/retinoid acid. I've been using this item for 2weeks and my acne pop-out like i really didn't have that kind of acne before. So i stop that and back to my lovely bha. After using bha for 2-3weeks, then it goes for purging again (maybe against the retinoid, idk). Omgg thank youuu

My Doctor said it’s still a steroid which penetrates skin you don’t need to use it in a long run and even carcinogenic . Then i stopped using it. All trans- retinoic acid(Tretinoin) are banned for use in Europe. Kindly share your views.

Liah! Yet another great informative video. I personally started Refissa about three years ago (mid 40’s) and it has done wonders for my skin. It took about 1.5 years to see the full results but this is only because I started off very slowly to reduce irritation (I have very sensitive skin). It took about eight months to get myself acclimated enough to use seven days a week. I am so pleased I stayed steady and patient. Yes! I think it would be great if you had a product containing Bakuchiol. I wonder, would this make the perfect neck solution if it did not contain BHA? I have been following your videos for quite some time. I am so proud of you for following your dreams. ❤️

I love tretinoin. Tretinoin help thoses who had FA in their maintenance routine. My routine now is : I don't exfoliate my face I just use tretinoin after washing , hydrating and moisturizing my skin , is my last step at night and I didn't peel at all because I'm moisturizing before which is called buffering. Also don't forget sunscreen even at home. The texture of my skin is so much better but the purging in the beginning lasted from week 2 to 7 , it was hard but here we are , tret works slowly but is worth it . The problem right now is that I have a light olive skin on my face and my body is darker because my doctor in the past (years ago) gave me hydroquinone with tret ( that's how I found out tret) to treat hyperpigmentation which is something I really regret cause back then I didn't know anything about skincare, I peeled, I used too much product, I didn moisturized or used sunscreen and now I do thank God. I want an even skin tone but I can't get too much sun exposure even though I use sunscreen because I'm using tret but I will give it a try and see what happens, I will do it slowly day by day.

Please have Retinol on the Krave Beauty line. Retinol is the love of my life. It does not irritate me because I use it with Oat So Simple, which I know colloidal oatmeal soothes any irritation.
