I'm an ex Bersagliere, Italian Mechanized Infantry, and believe me that thing ROCKS! We use it as anti tank defence, escorting other light tanks for example. I love that monster! Plus 8 soldiers can jump out of that thing anytime, it can mount also Tow missiles at the sides of the turret and has even extra plating if you wish. It goes 120 km x h!

This is exactly why I am grinding Italian ground forces to the exclusion of all others! Le Centauro Magnifico! Used by the Italians in the Iraq War, currently deployed in Lebanon by UNIFIL, and used in the former Yugoslavia and Somalia. As well as Italy, Jordan, Oman and Spain use them. Why is it so good? Basically it has all the firepower of the Leopard 1 MBT, with, and I love this description, "greater strategic mobility". I think the video here demonstrates that! 8x8 drivetrain, hydropneumatic automatic transmission with 5 forward and 2 reverse gears, independent MacPherson suspension, IVECO 520 hp V6 turbo-diesel engine, power to weight ratio 19.35 hp per tonne. If Ferrari or Lamborghini were making tanks, this is how they would do it, except perhaps the engine would be a V12 turbo! Oh, I forgot to mention the computerized fire control system! The real thing is fantastic, so it's no surprise the War Thunder version is so good! Then of course there is the version with the 120 mm cannon and upgraded composite armor...

I dont hate it..mostly because I mostly play Germany, so its always on my team.. I just like how salty it makes the allies, much like the XM-1/heli atgm induced salt on everyone facing them. The salt balances the Centauro out with the rest of War Thunder
