Great video. Question what speakers are these played through in this video? Do you need dedicated speakers for these or do they go into your mixer like a Bose? Thank you
that's true!! it depends on your own special liking and on the skills of the musician..., they are both great mashines... for me, i love genos bit more, have it too^^
From a previous Korg Pa4X owner to a new Yamaha Genos owner I can say Yamaha Genos is just WOOOW. No comparision. One thing I prefer the Korg Pa4X joystick style more and the keys seem a bit heavier to the Genos.
I've been torn between deciding on which of these to buy, the Korg PA4X or the Yamaha Genos. In one sentence you have managed to help me decide - it's definitely going to be the Genos for me!
Its been mentioned before and really it is the bottom line. Both these are great and yes there are differences, but it absolutely comes down to the player. If you can play, you can make either sound like gold, if you can't neither will sound as good as they should. I have seen it in real life by watching subpar players compare both live and I've been swayed against my initial thoughts due to the player, not the keyboard. Once you make this connection, (if you haven't already), I promise you, how you evaluate keyboards will change dramatically.
I have a Korg Pa4x and I had to work a lot to have sounds and styles right for me, based on what I have seen there's not so much to work on Yamaha arranger keyboards, they seem to be more "user friendly" and ready to be played than Korg
I am agree with you the GENOS is more user-friendly,but the KORG OS 3 NEXT technically more superior than GENOS. It's depending what you prefer and of course purpose 😉 GENOS is more expensive, more important is play good is my advice.
Yamaha is great at sounds while Korg is great for its technology. If both can merge into one, it would create an ultimate arranger keyboard in the world :)

Hi. All Pa series of Korg may have only 4 or so Styles of Middle East. But most of them can come in ORIENTAL so will be different Styles and sounds loaded as factory. Of course you can UPLOAD and change pretty much all the keyboard to Oriental. I have a Korg microArranger, small but awesome keyboard
I have tried older Korg and Yamaha. The styles in the yamaha used to sound buttery especially on the bass line side. Like 1-3-5 no passing notes or without melodic fill in between. Impressively from what I am hearing now Genos tried to solve that. Korg arrangers have been good in that in my opinion. And Korg still stands out in that regard the drum is more realistic sounding too.
It sounds like the styles would be a little more mature on the Genos. However,I think that if I were in the market for one of these machines I'd be looking at how well the touch screens were implemented and the placement of controls on the machines was handled. Mind you,I haven't yet even seen, or actually had my hands on either of these instruments. By the way,I want satisfied with the styles for either machine for "leaves".
In Romania, majoritatea lautarilor au Korg si e mult mai usor sa iti faci rost de style-uri care suna deja bine, dar daca te pricepi sa le faci tu de la 0 si sa iti configurezi clapa cum trebuie, eu zic ca Genos are un sunet mai viu. Cu Korg e mai usor, dai 100 de euro pe un set de ritmuri, pad-uri, sample-uri si e gata, poti merge la cantat :)
Please launch Yamaha genos with 61 keys and with same feature and want this keyboard at my home because I love this with powerful feature and it's easy to understand and it brings lots of ideas for my orchestra program and studio purpose
Yamaha has a better performance and complying better with new softwear,midi device and Computers. korg is now 8 years old Technologie.read only MP3 formate.yamaga can read all format and do things 10 times more than Korg.also screen is much solid and briter than korg.
Genos-ul suna mult mai bine sunetele din ROM, adevarate, numai ca e alt" mod de lucru daca "s-ar pune baietii pe ea" sa lucreze ar suna beton dar au apucat pe korg si asa o tin nu cred ca prea curand o sa vedem genos peste tot....
Sunt foarte plictisit de cercul vicios de la evenimentele din romania. Clapa Korg, mixer Dynacord si boxe Dynacord sau EV. Stiu ca toate cele mentionate sunt bune, dar sunt o groaza de alte marci cu cel putin aceleasi performante, daca nu chiar mai bune!
@@adysoferu Am cumparat Korg PA4,era mai ieftin,insa Yamaha Genos e mult mai bun,trebuia sa mai astept sa fac rost de bani de altfel si eu cant 90 la suta usoara ,populara am cantat doar pentru supravietuire pentru ca ghiolbanii din Romania asta vor
It's a little bit too late, but hear the differences with the KETRON SD9 is technically and sound are more superior and of course it depends who plays on it!
Korg pa4X is 8 years old technologie that is not capable to comply with new technologies cant read all formats of songs only MP3 but Yamaha Genos can Read all formats of songs and comply with q bass and pro tools software.
