I am lucky that I had a chance to been there for 5 days of my holidays with my girlfriend year 2011 & its my opinion that it is a great city with nice beaches. Love to go there again I wish.

Yes, that would last about an hour in the USA. There would be riots, BLM protestors, homeless people harassing you every 3 feet, and everybody would have a Covid mask, because you can get Covid here from the inside of your own car with the windows up. Looks great. I did have a laugh at the McDonalds rearing its ugly head just as you got to the beach .
@@karimedinburgh I did and was surrounded by soccer hooligans. Once I convinced them I wasn't Catholic, they decided not to beat my brains in. Otherwise, it was very nice.
From what i heard i thought Gold Coast was a party city. It was really nice to see how many families, couples and nice spots there are there. Looks very safe environment 😍
I live on the Gold Coast. This part of the city is where people go to the party. But there are also beautiful beaches and hinterland on the Gold Coast where many people and families live their lives. I personally rarely ever go to this part of the Gold Coast because I don’t like the party environment.
I used to live on Chevron Island working as a chef in Surfers and I can tell you many crazy stories; from mafias and bikies running Orchid Ave to corrupt real estate agents scamming millions in high rise contracts... The street level drunkenness, violence, drug dealing and prostitution was rampant! 🥵🤮😲
This video started at sunset. So it is still early in the night. I wouldn't be walking around there with the kids come 11pm. I mean you could, but you would be dodging the pisspots.
Yeah no. At night Surfers Paradise is not safe. I've been living in the Gold Coast since 2007 and the amount of assaults, stabbings, overdoses, etc that happens in Surfers Paradise especially Cavill Avenue is just insane. Recently two adults assaulted 2 police officers causing one to have a serious concussion and blacked out while the other officer apprehended the suspects while having minor injuries. It's more safe during the day until 6pm then it starts getting really sketchy.

Smashed back a few pingas, swinging off the rails at Hollywood's back when it first opened. Can't believe they got rid of Central? Punched on with a bikie in Quest. All nighters in Elsewhere Sunday nights then raced home to change into my tradie clothes for work. No sleep, no worries. Different place now. Ah, how times have changed.
I've injured myself and am going to be chair/bed bound for 3-6 months. I love the GC and used to love our walks around Surfers Paradise. I can't do that for now, this is such a gift! Thank you so much, you took me there! :)))

Ahh the Gold Coast. I'm so lucky to call this place home. I often ride my motorbike here and lap up the late afternoon sun down the end of Cavill Avenue at the McDonald's next to the beach. Great video man.
Time is certainly not in Australia's favor. Only a matter of time till it all devolves into 3rd world status. Same problems that plague the western world today, will swallow it whole tomorrow.
This video perfectly reflects the nature of Australian people, simply "boring as hell", is it bad? not really, quiet people, quiet society but … really … boring, zero spontaneous. Remember, Gold Coast is a entertainment heart of Australia and looks like 'nursing home' on Ibiza, Lol.
It’s because if you were there walking around nobody would be giving you a running commentary and playing background music. So the video is the closest you are going to get to walking around yourself. So that is the mindset it is best to have when watching these videos. Pretend you are staying there and have just stepped out the door and are going for a walk to see what the place is like. If you are bored just be glad you saved some money by not going there 😂 but first look at videos of other activities in the same place.
exactly, Australia and New Zealand are almost covid-free , there is like 5-10 cases on the whole country and thats all and they better keep it that way because its like a heaven on earth

@@hellofriend7105 Well actually gold coast was modelled on Miami there's even a suburb called Miami on the gold coast. The main difference is Miami is a much more crowded and bustling place if u like that kinda thing. Gold coast is a city along the ocean so u have miles of beach from where u can find a secluded spot and is a very clean place.
I live an hour from the Gold Coast. Grew up here and holiday in Miami on our coast all the time. I have also visited Miami in the US. I would take our Miami any time over US Miami!

Surfers Paradise sure earns it's nickname of Plastic Paradise. I lived there 30 yrs ago and you could see its stunning beach without endless rubbishy pop-op shops. Now it is crowded and full of drugs. Schoolies and drunks out of control. Horrible place now. Sad.
