In arabic poetry “him” means “her” when its a male singing. He is singing about a girl betraying him.

True! In Arabic sometimes in songs especially we refer to the female by him! For example, a male often sings (Habibi) not (Habibti)

@Khaled4life 3 года назад
I think there is a misconception about Halim having a strong voice. His voice was never characterized as strong although he could sing high tones. He was mostly known about making male singing more romantic more simple pronouncing the words so everybody could sing it, like a predecessor of Amr Diab. He was a genius who simplified arab music who before he arrived was about long words and where male men had to sing in a certain way he, simplified it so today almost all arab male singers have soft voices.

@Khaled4life

@@gabermostafa4932 True, but that does’nt mean a strong voice. By “any composition” Abdelwahab mean that Halim was a genius in making any song his own. His voice was very simple but bird like, very enjoyable and sensational. But he did not have a strong voice, he is the reasons why Amr Diab and Hany Shaker exists, because before Halim such “weak” voices were not giving any chance. Hany Shaker himself said “I never knew I could sing untill I heard Halim”. That means his voice type had no chance if it was’nt for Halim who “forced” people to listen to a soft male voice.

This song from his movie jay. The story of the film is that Abdel Halim is a poor young man who works in acting, but his luck is bad because he takes short roles. He loves a famous actress and the day comes when he will stand in front of her on the stage and tell her words of love as written in the script, and she will know that he loves her very much and she also loves him. The love relationship between them begins until evil people set up a trap to make the actress stay away from him, then Abdel Halim begins to sing songs of sadness and reproach for her until he becomes a famous singer and in the world the truth is revealed and that she is wrong and they return to each other

Wow I didn't even notice that! You are absolutely right. Long videos are more difficult to edit and record than the short ones, and my Camera stops working when it overheats! I should buy a better camera but it is expensive and because of that I am trying to deal with the one one that I have now. Maybe that is why I am concerned about the length of the video. And sometimes people are complaining about the length of the video and they say that it is boring to watch all of it! So I just wanna give a heads up to those viewers 🙂

Listen to his song Mawood (موعود) Abdel halim was very sick and his doctors advised him not to sing in concerts anymore because it will be so fatal for his health. Otherwise he said that art is his life he can’t live without it. So he continued performing with so much emotions than ever he did and you could see his tiredness and paleness and sometimes he will pass out after it and transferred to hospital and stays for weeks for recovery and then he continues to perform despite his health complications. One of those concerts is Mawood موعود see this concert. His strong voice, commitment and feelings were facing his weak body. I cry every time seeing it. Btw Abdul halim is my favorite male singer ❤️ and Fairouz is my favorite female singer ❤️ Love from Egypt 🇪🇬

Mawood is definately his greatest song. Some say Qariat al fingaan but I say mawood is on a different level. And his performance is top notch

@@MarinaRiadCooks Yes it’s a great song. I love the tany tany when I was a kid I used to stop the song shen it reaches shuf baena fen ya albi we hiya rahet fen. Because it broke my heart to see him almost crying in that part. What a singer what a legend.

@@Khaled4life yes that part too it breaks my heart. It is so hugethat this is literally what he felt in his personal life from years before this song was created and we see him explore these feelings all over again live in front of us in this concert like he puts part of his soul in this performance and we got lucky that this moments are recorded for us after many decades to see it. True he is such a legendary artist❤️

Jabar , means mighty and strong, it is one of the names and attributes of allah , hence the name abd aljabar . It can be some times used to refer to cruelty and oppression manifested by humans . The words of this song carry meanings of irony , she is gentle while being jabar , the theme of irony continues through out this fabulous song .

Gabar means powerful, he is using it as "very", so he's saying that his lover was very kind at some point and he was very cruel at other times

It depends on the context. It can be someone who is strong and mean and cruel all at the same time. But in the context of this song, it is referring to the strength and formidability of a woman in terms of her tenderness and femininity. That is why he is singing "Fee re'to Gabar" which means "he is strong through his tenderness or gentleness". He is referring to a woman here. And he is also saying that this woman is also "through toughness is Gabar". Toughness "aswah" here can mean cruel. So even in her toughness and cruelty she is Strong and mighty. Gabbar is also one of the names of God in Islam which means the strong and mighty. It does not necessarily mean cruel.
