Jay أنا من معجبين كاظم الساهر منذ عام 1997 ، كنت أنتظر ألبوماته بفارغ الصبر ونعيش قصص حبنا ونغذي أوقات جمالها بالجميل من أغانيه ونعزي أنفسنا في أوقات الضعف بأغانيه الحزينة عندي كل ماغنى كاظم الساهر من مواويل وأغاني سينغل أو دويتو أو حفلات ، لدي مكتبة حقيقية له ولكن هاك معلومة قد تجدها جديدة عندما تكون من معجبين كاظم وتريد عمل مفضلة له لن يكون لديك أغنية او اثنين او عشرة في الحقيقة مفضلتي الخاصة بكاظم الساهر حرفيا وليس مجازا تحتوي على 70 أغنية

Hi, Jay! Wonderful choice you had there! Ba’ad Al Hob is one of Kadim’s nineties iconic hits. They even used it as a theme song for one of the most famous Iraqi TV series. The story, as you can hear and tell, is extremely sad and full of sorrow. Two lovers, after all feelings and affection they had for each other, are now distant and can’t love each other like they used to be. Now they meet like strangers and as if they were never true lovers. The first part sung was an improvisation, or as we call it in the Middle Eastern music, "Mawal”, for the second part of the song. Sometimes, singers like to start the song with improvisation on one of the parts of the song before hitting the first verse in song. You asked about the meaning behind the chairs made out of iron and lips out of ice. This translates to chairs made of strong and solid surface, unlike how they used to feel when the two lovers used to sit on them in the past; this means that they used to feel cloudy soft. Lips made of ice means that the lips are now cold and no longer hot from love-talk. You always do a great job when selecting songs for Kadim. Only one modest advice for you and I hope you accept it from me: try to translate the songs through the studio-recorded versions not the live performances, although Kadim is magnificent on stage. Its a real story to the poets karim, it happens to him so thats a real story and he wrote about it karim al iraqi qadim made very great sad songs, abd through them youll see what the meaning of love is to iraqis because love in iraq always combined it self with sorrow and homeland and patreotic if you dont cry in love it aint love. Mr IJay, the meaning of song is talking about the great love between him and his girlfriend (beloved one) , when she traveled, he felf very sad, but when she returned back after a period of time. They met like as strangers after that great love and long days with memories. He wonder how their feelings changed like no one know the other. They failed to renew their love and felf with cold emotions. I tried to convey very little meaning of the song, but it has very deeper and greater than this simple expression. I suggest to listen the audio vision because the music and sound are incredable.

7:58 well we could say the iron chaires are cheep and informal ( was frequently used in the Iraqi houses in the 80's &90's 😩 I used to LOVE the ones in my grandparents house 😭) that's refer they didn't met in a good place as the beloved do , they met in a random place maybe by accident " our wards from ice " u know they break up recently so they have nothing to say words are frozen in their mouths as the ice ... BTW this is the Iraqi dialect, not Standard Arabic that's way it's maybe seems different then Kazim other songs..
