Excellent video! Thanks for showing the process for replacing the logic board. The sound chip on my logic board blew up after a dodgy speaker was plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack. So I sourced and replaced it. I learnt the hard way after swapping, that the keyboard connector has a clasp that secures the ribbon! To begin with only the top row of keys would function until I figured this out😂 thanks again.
Great video! Any recommendations on which replacement logic board to purchase? (My 2012 or 2013 MacBook Pro i7 is non-responsive. No lights or fan sounds. The logic board has some white oxidation, which was removed with a touch of alcohol and compressed air). Is the problem likely only the logic board?
Hi there, thanks for this Video. I also got a broken a1502 emc 2835. Yesterday i bought an a1502 emc2875 (didn't know the difference) Do you think, i can replace the Logic Board against the newer one?
Unfortunately, in replacing the battery and DC port, I did not do as you suggest and I mangled the keyboard/trackpad connector, so am staring down replacing the logic board. Are there any other steps necessary regarding setting serial number? Any pitfalls you suggest avoiding when looking to get replacement logic board? Apologies if I missed this detail in your video.
@@HamadBenaicha finally got a replacement logic board from eBay, replaced it successfully, no errors whatsoever thanks to your video. However, the new board has 16gb memory and different CPU than original, MacOS doesn't recognize the correct hardware. What do I need to do in order for it to show proper CPU and memory?
I’m using MacBook pro 2019 and one port is working perfectly for charging and usb hub,but the other doesn’t work for charging and it works only if I’m attaching a singe usb with type c adapter otherwise for the usb hub it’s showing usb disabled. Any solution?
