Yes. It's a good place to live because everyone that lives there has earned their keep. You won't find anybody there claiming that they deserve things that they haven't worked for all in the name of freedom.
@theemotionalremix Instead you'll find people simping for the Bank of Canada and just agreeing like zombies with the 1000% inflation rate. "Yeah I don't care that money is fiat and debt-based. I love poverty. All hail the Bank of Canada!" 😂
I came visiting Vancouver, two days ago for 5 days and i am so inpressed. Amazing city. 10/10. Very beautiful and so different with its mesmerizing views compared to other canadian cities. Canadian scandinavia.
Price for a single family detached hose in Vancouver starts from 4.5 million dollars (price from 2023). Those pretty appartmemt buildings beside the water 2 bedroom appartmemt would cost 2 million dollars. Minimum wage is $15. Price of childcare for 1 child starts from $750 (not possible to get in only waiting list) you will be paying $1000/mo for one child. Pack of cigarettes is $20, six pack beer is $18, meal for 2 at McDonald's is $28, haircut starts $30, gasoline 1 gallon is $8, car insurance $350, car parking in your building $100/mo, bus ticket $2.50 for 90 minutes ride, going on subway to Surrey 60 minutes ride and back cost $14. It is beautiful scenery, but it rains from October to May like every day for 25 days, you get 1 sunny day then another 25 days of rain. When it snows life in Vancouver stops, literally, you can't drive to work, there are no buses in the morning it's total chaos. It's beautiful mountains, wildlife no doubt
There are good and bad sides of every city in the world. Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the World as proven by more than 8 million tourists annually.
Superficially, nice. A buddy who spend most of his childhoold and teens in Vancouver says many are surprisingly snobby and rude. There's a mix. I'd say east coast Canadians are among the friendlist..
@@boxergirl84 To elaborate, many Canadians located in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia seemed really nice every time I visited... Toronto would only be slightly better than average.
@C B Spot on! Relaxed laws or absolute lack of thereof made Vancouver city the city it is now. Those who say otherwise don't take public transportation or work/live in Downtown. Why Vancouver can't be like Singapore, with its beautiful nature and clean air/water it could've been much better then any city in the world. The answer is this - Vancouver copies its big brother down South, USA. If Vancouver government copy counters like Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden or even something from Asian sisters like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan etc. we wouldn't have this comment/conversation. We are so much behind it's not even funny anymore. Yes we get new appartment buildings pop up everywhere (no clue who is buying it though, portfolio pilots from overseas). Everything else is mostly old and obsolete. Our ferry system is old, we could have an under water tunnel or over sea highway to Victoria, GVRD roads and bridges crumble not up par with 2023 traffic. Public transportation is far from the best in the world by a big margin We don't have high speed rail/trains even India has it, our trains are slow diesel bricks from 70es. Our healthcare is in crisis, homelessness and drug addiction well you know it yourself. But they surely advertise Vancouver is the number 1/the best city to live in the world. I guess big $$$ involved in that advertising campaign. The real estate market for rich and famous, portfolio managers from overseas is the driving force for the deep pockets of our lawmakers and their families.
@@oaksoundstudio4249 Ever hung out in any decrepit area with poor people? I’m from the sticks of Toronto, why are you lot talking about people like they’re less than?
I love Vancouver, I am from the Caribbean,Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, I lived Coquitlam and Burnaby, the person seated on the bench ,is that near Deerlake👍❤💯
Been there one night in a beach side hotel i was so happy it was my first time in the cocean view was insane... then we downtown would have taken 30 minutes but traffic and nearly 2 hours and shit was expensive 😂
@@stevonwhite8933 Well it ain't working very well if you have been following the news lately. Also, it worked pretty well for Portland Oregon didn't it? It also makes zero logical sense. If I was a crackhead I would keep doin that shit since there are zero consequences except for dying of course.
@GreatCityAttractions Vancouver is far from a perfect place to live. It definitely has it's problems. But it's pluses outnumber it's negatives and it's not Toronto.
Hmm 🤔 you forgot to add random attacks on people and the fact that homelessness is a huge problem in Vancouver downtown (the very area thats being shown) 😄🙃 & rent is 3000$ for 1 bedroom 😂
There are quite literally 2 sides of Vancouver. The good side across the bridge (North and West Van) where life is peaceful, and then the other side where all the junki€s, hippies, l0sers, etc reside.
You can't buy a house in Vancouver for 1 million dollars. For a single family house in Vancouver price now starts from 4.5 million dollars (price from 2023).
i rent a house in burnaby, which is next to vancouver for very cheap prices. i only have the top half of the house, other people live on the bottom. my area which is located to brentwood, (an area near burnaby) and finding drugs there is very difficult. the drugs are in downtown which i despise. if you want to move into bc, dont go to vancouver, go somewhere near it like the suburbs.
