JURY vision song contest 2024 🇪🇺💶 🇭🇷 1st in SF, 1st in TV, 3rd by jury 🇨🇭 4th in SF, 5th in TV, 1st by jury

Nemo in the Swiss music charts, own country, topped at 22nd place, says it all. Nemo is not a public winner by far, only 4th in the semifinal, and now 5th in the final. They disqualified the Dutch because was 2nd in the same semifinal and would certainly take a lot more points to Swiss than Croatia. The jury system knew they had to give the Swiss abnormal amount of points and sometimes zero to the Croat (which also lost some 12 points with Israeli televoting manipulation). It was rigged in advanace as Switzerland was chosen as the future winner. This year was the best example how much Eurovision is manipulated and pointless, there's nothing sincere about it.

Statement in English We have taken note of the disqualification by the EBU. AVROTROS finds the disqualification disproportionate and is shocked by the decision. We deeply regret this. An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clearly made agreements, Joost was filmed when he had just gotten off stage and had to rush to the greenroom. At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed. This wasn’t respected. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman. This incident was reported, followed by an investigation by the EBU and police. Yesterday and today we consulted extensively with the EBU and proposed several solutions. Nevertheless, the EBU has still decided to disqualify Joost Klein. AVROTROS finds the penalty very heavy and disproportionate. We stand for good manners -let there be no misunderstanding about that- but in our view, an exclusion order is not proportional to this incident. We are very disappointed and upset for the millions of fans who were so excited for tonight. What Joost brought to the Netherlands and Europe shouldn’t have ended this way.

Baby Lasagna received a big welcome in the Croatian capital Zagreb. Emilia from the Croatian group Riva, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1989 for Yugoslavia, was there. Croatian singer Tatiana Cameron, better known as Tajči, who was the last to compete for Yugoslavia in 1990, was also there. And of course Let 3, who competed for Croatia last year, were there too.

think we should talk about this. The jury once again decided who wins. Its not a competition at the moment, it is Ebu politics. We need to speak up and demand change, not stay quiet. At the moment the only ones that are speaking about the problems are the artists, and we need to back them up. And speak about the problems of this "competition" or admit that there is no true competition.

Really impressive, comprehensive and professional handling of the interview. Even when you get a run-through before hand it's not easy to do that.

If the ebu doesn't change anything, I hope my country, The Netherlands, will NOT participate. My heart is broken because of what happened, still gives me tears in my eyes. If it ens up being minor what Joost did, and the punishment was way too fast and way too harsh, I really feel we are not welcome at Eurovision, and therefore it's better not to come at all. There are two sets of rules now, one for Israel, who wasn't stopped when it was clear how they were bullying and harassing other delegations, the Dutch delegation being one of them, and another set of rules for the rest of the countries, they weren't allowed to give their opinion about Israel/Gaza and also, no EU flags were allowed, what's up with that, I mean WTF?! What kind of organization is ebu? It's more like a dictatorship then a peaceful organization. Very very disappointed 😞 😭💔

If the contest is not about politics, why was Russia banned from the contest?

If I attended lets say a painting competition and lets say the competition doesnt just let the judges decide but the attendees too. Im sure I'd have my favorites right away but never would it occur to me that the jury of professional painters have to agree with me for the result to be legitimate. I'd naturally asume that a lifelong painter has a whole other way of looking at a work of art and sees a few more technical layers of it than I do. And I personally would he interested in that perspective even if I disagree. Never would I go "that dude has no clue, no taste, probably is corrupt etc." Just stop the moaning and get over it, if it was public only we would have had last year possesed cha cha cha dancers as winners and this year someone who does cat noises...we had this year so many "joke" entries while finland came only second imagine how eurovision would be next year if finland and croatia won, it would lose so much on musical value and songs like Portugal etc would hever have a chance.

Stop the moaning! Europe and rest of the world showed clearly they support Israel and their song which was great! Netherlands was rightfully disquallified you cant threaten to hit a female staff member at eurovision and expect to still be in the competetion he is a grown man and hypocrite as well, singing about its not important from where you are or who you are but he bullied whole time the Israeli singer even on the press conference when she was asked the controversial question and they told her she doesnt need to reply he shouted "why not"... A typical bully and that song was a joke entry anyways so not a loss for eurovision. Voting is 50/50 and juries see sometimes more in songs that an average viewer does thats a fact, who gets most votes combined wins, Switzerland won rightfully so stop moaning for no reason. I believe that they should have let him compete after all taking that singer off the competion after being selected in semi-final will not reflect the people's vote correctly- whomever intended to vote for him either wont vote at all or do last minute change - either way votes of what people choose will not reflect correctly. They should have waited until they complete their investigation and action after the contest over. Additionally, if the incident occurred before the news conference, why did they choose after the conference about this incident. The logical conclusion is that something went wrong at the news conference.
