🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿: Not a big fan of China (kind of a hater actually) but I don’t like how people on tiktok are claiming Chinese things as Japanese and Korean. I haven’t seen anyone claim them as Vietnamese yet but since Vietnam’s culture is heavily influenced by China’s, I decided to put her in.

Yea it’s pretty annoying when they keep claiming that stuff, and saying China actually stole their culture or whatever(especially the Koreans) For example: Lots of Korean food is influenced from China, traditional clothes, monuments, writing, music instruments, religion, philosophy, medicine, literally almost everything in the culture. Even the South Korean flag is a symbol from Chinese culture. very very VERY influenced from China, very similar Same thing with lots of Japanese stuff Traditional Clothes, writing, monuments, music instruments, and more Also there’s a lot of hype around South Korea recently, but I just don’t see it. Kpop and krap is literally just pop and rap music but in Korea with a bunch of idols, if you think about it, it’s the music that matters, and it’s literally just pop music and rap but in the Korean language. Food? Lots of the popular Korean foods I see are just taken from other countries and they just make their own version and call it Korean. For example, bungeoppang is literally looking like Japanese taiyaki. Korean bbq korean fried chicken, took western food and made their version. Hotteok, actually invented by Chinese. Noodles, fried rice, very similar to other Asian foods. Korean corn dogs, took the American food corn dogs and made their version. Korean instant ramen is very popular these days, but it does not mean ramen is Korean food, it’s just a Korean version of the Japanese food ramen, which if you search it up it says it has origins from China and Japan. Ramen is derived from the Chinese word for pulled noodles “lamian 拉面” But for some reason so much people think it’s Korean these days, even my teacher, a 60 year old white guy who’s not into Korean stuff has heard and even thought that ramen originated in Korea and japan. But it actually only has origins in Japan and China, NOT Korea. . Jajangmyeon(Korean black bean noodles) is just a Korean version of the Chinese noodle dish: zhajiangmian. Jjamppong? It was invented by Chinese immigrants, it’s a Chinese style dish, inspired by Chinese cuisine. And many more foods . Kdrama, it’s just dramas in Korean.

I’m Korean and I’ve seen a lot of others say that ours is the best. It’s mostly because our culture is all about our ego (no big surprise) but yeah basically out things we’re mostly influenced my China because we traded a lot with China 💀💀 same with Japan.

@thebestgachatuberever3864 2 месяца назад
@@Hy3in2 honestly don’t know much about the kimchi stuff I think some Chinese claim that because there’s something called “pao Cai” which is chinese fermented/pickled vegetables And there’s many types of pao Cai. And apparently there’s a type of Chinese pao Cai similar to kimchi???? I think that’s why some Chinese try to claim that.

i wouldn't call it stealing, because countries historically situated next to each other are influenced by each other, inspired in a positive way. it's just annoying when people NOWADAYS start claiming stuff. it doesn't even stop at east asia lol i saw someone call a picture of jal jeera (south asian drink) korean?

ehem. Sometimes, the Chinese claim our Vietnam's culture, as they. Vietnam's culture is, not, heavily influenced by China's. For example, ao dai. They dominated our ancestors for 1000 years, but do you know the idiom "new bottle of old wine"? At that time, they tried to make the Vietnamese forget their identity - what makes a country alive. For example, they make our ancestors to celebrate 3/3 - to remember a good person in their history. But our Vietnamese celebrate it to honor our ancestors (and to eat banh troi too). 1000 years, is fking long, and yet our residents in Motherland still remember their traditions and their identity. U can see in just abt 20 years from 2000 to 2020, everything has changed so fast, then how long would 1000 yrs be? Please respect every different tradition, did you look back at your OWN people b4 tell us that we "stole" your tradition. Maybe they just make a mistake. Like in China, they also have a similar outfit to aodai, and in fact we were taught that a group of VNese has traveled to there, and spread our tradition. Idk how many things that Chinese ik that claim different traditions as theirs.

To clear of first, ma’am do I look like a Chinese to you? Does my description look Chinese to you? Ao dai is just the most popular dress, if you know Nhat Binh dress or Giao Linh dress, they look really similar to Chinese dresses. People in the past used Mandarin characters (more exactly it’s Nom, however most of the words are Mandarin characters.) and do you ever notice why many paintings, arts, writings and decorations look like literal Mandarin characters if you don’t look closely? That’s because OUR culture is influenced by it. If it wasn’t influenced by China, we would’ve gotten clothes that look like Thailand’s, Cambodia’s, Laos’s instead of what we have today. Before later Le and Ho dynasty, kings literally saw Nom words as a “lower class” way of writing, they all used Mandarin to write 1000 years you said, like okay I know we never forgot our true identity as Vietnamese but it’s not that hard to tell the similarities between Chinese and Vietnamese culture.
