Hi Valerie For the transcripts, the Bachelors degree and all other academic documents that you plan to submit, in order to apply for the German student visa you need to submit documents that have been Certified by the German Embassy. Those certified copies are what you will submit during your German visa appointment

Hi MKenya Can you clarify the certificate and transcript bit? I have graduated university from the UAE. I do have a copy that is certified by both the UAE Ministry of Education and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Am I doing it correctly or should it be attested by something else?

Hi If your documents have been certified by the ministry of education ideally it should be more than enough… But just to be sure, you can get take the original documents to be certified at the German embassy in you home country as well, to avoid any problems during university or visa application.

Hello Mkenya, At 7:15 I see that you had already sent your application at March. I assume you had applied for the winter semester that begins on October. My question is, how did you do so yet the application window for winter semester is usually opened on May? Also, did you get delays in getting your Visa, was the time between Aug and Oct enough?

For TUM specifically the application period is usually between Jan 1 and May 31 for the winter semester, I know for other universities it usually starts in May To get an appointment it took 6 weeks and processing the visa took 8 weeks, so I missed the 1st 3 weeks of the semester

Hi Abdiaziz When I applied for my visa, did carry it but the official who was taking my documents at the embassy didn’t take it. She said it wasn’t necessary But just carry it, it’s better to have it and not need it rather than the opposite

I understand that the blocked account is for one year only right? After that if my bachelor is for 3 years do i need to get again the blocked account the next 2 years also? Or i can just continue my studies without it? Thanks

Hi It depends on a few factors such as whether you have a part time job and the city you’re going to be studying in. Because different states have different rules like for example in Munich if you have an unlimited part time job contract you just need to show €5,000 in your bank account and 3 month payslips to get your permit renewed Other areas such as Baden-Württemberg always ask for a new blocked account every year. Doesn’t matter if you work It’s kinda annoying if you ask me, because it’s such a grey area, no real way of knowing until you talk to the foreigners authority of the area you are going to, or you talk to students in their 2nd or 3rd year of their bachelor’s

Hi If your masters program is in English language, you don't need to show any certificate. But if it is taught in German you need to show at least B2 (i think)

Hi, Does the embassy requires bachelor’s degree if I have not yet completed my bachelor’s yet and I got admission on the basis of my 7th semester transcript and my public university requires my degree and the start at 2nd semester. So Can I apply for visa with just 7th semester transcript and high school diploma? Kindly guide me

Hi If your university has given you admission on condition that you must submit a university degree before the 2nd semester, kindly inform the embassy of the same, but you need to submit proof that the university actually said that, maybe it can be written on your admission letter or a separate document from the university Then the embassy won’t have any issues

Hi Ravi Hope you enjoyed watching the video Your student visa cannot be rejected because of grades, as long as you have been accepted to the university and show the admission letter to the embassy Just make sure you have ALL the required visa documentation, and you won’t be rejected

Usually this won’t be an issue, the main document that is usually looked at is the passport.

It depends… If you wanna save money, go private but it has a lot of stress. Incase you get sick you have to pay with your own money, then claim a refund with your insurance provider Public is more expensive but you just walk in be seen by a doctor, get meds and go home. For public you pay €130 per month while for private you pay €30 plus the cost of every visit If you are generally healthy pay for private, if you have an underlying health condition pay public

Yes, when applying for the visa you will need to bring CERTIFIED physical copies of you academic certificates to the visa appointment

Hi Getting a visa is usually quite straightforward once you have an acceptance letter from a university in Germany. The biggest hurdle for Indian students is the long waiting times for visa appointments and also you would have to apply for an APS certificate which is an extra requirement that students from other nations don’t have to do.

Hi I believe you can switch, but it would require the process of changing the details on your visa People switch universities even 1 year into their program if they are unhappy with the one the are doing

@@oryctoculuz9851 you can change, but it’s can be quite a hectic process, because you would need to apply to another course. You may also be asked to produce proof of funds once again Generally I would advise against shifting, only when there’s no other option. It’s best to go with option that you really want to save yourself from unnecessary expenses and struggles

After asking a few friends (because I do not have to pay any tuition fees), they said that since they were coming for a 1-year program and their visa was only for a year, they were asked to pay for the program in FULL. So I think, (I am not completely sure, to be honest) that you should at least pay for the 1st year of study since visas are usually given for a max of 1 year, and then you renew annually. But I suggest you email the German embassy where you will apply for the visa to get the most accurate information. Also, when you get a response from the German Embassy, kindly let me know.

I think maybe because your course requires tuition fees, the embassy would need to see the blocked account plus the fees for at least the first year @@karthikraj5237
