@@AronXplores I totally forgot to tell you about the plane!!!..... It's a Douglas C-3 from the Ecuadorian airforce that has been there for about 45 years!....The airforce placed this airplane in the park, so people could take a look into the Ecuadorian aircraft history. In the late 90's, the inside was transformed into a children's theatre but, by 2003 it's doors were closed till these days.
All I can say , Quito is much cleaner than Manchester now 😅also how beautiful the landscape on the background is ❤thanks for showing how beautiful my hometown is ❤
that airport is there because la carolina was actually quito’s first airport. that whole park and beyond was part of an hacienda named la carolina and was used to land planes when quito didn’t have a proper airport. think of something more similar to a landing strip than an airport. this was back when the city didn’t extend beyond la mariscal and la carolina was considered the outskirts of the city. around the 20s until the 50s. quito did not have a modern airport until 1960.
Juan Valdez is the best, Quicentro mall on Avenidas Naciones Unidas is cool and Quito a beautiful city, be there June 2nd. on my 4th. trip my wife is Ecuadorian going to retire there. Shout out from Chicago
Lo de pequeño no está bien, Ecuador es un país mediano en porte, somos más grande que muchos países importantes, ejemplo Reino Unido, Corea del sur y norte, casi del porte de Alemania etc.
Those areas aren’t the wealthy parts of Quito…the wealthy areas are mostly in the valleys like cumbaya , there you’ll find mansions Spanish style, most houses are worth above $1millon over there , and some parts in the north too like quito tennis or la pampa where liga de quito sports teams train, but super small, but the valleys are the pricey areas
I’d recommend you visiting Baños, Cuenca, Galapagos, Vilcabamba, you’d love those places. I highly recommend , super safe in those places and you can walk around at night too with your phone on hand with not much worries , enjoy it! And if you into amazonas stuff maybe Puyo which is next to Baños

Esa zona también es area rica de Quito. Quien dice que solo en los valles orientales esta la gente rica. Iñaquito, Quito tenis, la Gonzalez Suarez, La Paz, la Urb. El Condado, Monteserrín son lugares con gente de mucho dinero.
@@AronXplores Yes, but not only there... What about the areas around town. I can tell you the only walk around with cafes experience in a residential setting is gonzalez suarez...
One thing to notice from this video is the homeless people, there's usually quite a lot of them around this street. Proof of the huge gap in inequality in the city
But if we talk about Quito as the city of Ecuador, that is, the center of the city, it is not a big deal, it does not feel like a worthy or surprising capital, nor does it have many places to recreate, even in the buildings, Quito falls behind many capitals. in the world and even in Latin America, perhaps it is the little foreign investment and the country is not very attractive at the level of investment for important companies.
