« J’ai un rêve … »

"I have a dream..."
In the narrow streets of the slum of Ezbet el Nakhl (Cairo), you can hear the voices of children reciting their lessons. Between two small buildings serving as a waste sorting centre for ragpickers, a large brick building houses a school, Miss Marlène's school.
Miss Marlène is 50 years old but doesn't look like other Egyptians. Majore figure in the slum, she decided to dedicate her life to the poorest children by creating her school, which today welcomes 300 children of ragpickers.
Thanks to the congregation of the daughters of Mary and the donors of SOS Chrétiens d'Orient, many projects are emerging and improving the daily lives of children. The school is brightened by beautiful painted and colorful walls representing the life of Christ. The roof was set up in playground: fake ground turf, drawings and colorful numbers on the walls, hopscotch on the floor... The canteen and music room have also been renovated.
❤️Dreams, Miss Marlene still has a lot in her head and will do everything for her little protégés. So from now on, support her projects and give a future to the children of Cairo. Make a donation: bit.ly/3FwEyeO
