Located a mere twenty kilometres away from Alicante, the port of Santa Pola was already known during Roman times. Nowadays, the city preserves its fishing-town charm, which has not been undermined by the modern infrastructure devoted to the enjoyment of its Mediterranean climate and beaches. White coves and beaches, great for scuba diving and windsurfing, are some of the treasures of this coast.
