In this video I am walking in the city center of Seville in Spain, Andalucia, on a summer day in July 2021. You will see the wonderful cathedral, many dining, bar and shopping streets, and stunning alleyways. This walk ends at the Plaza Nueva, in front of the Fernando III Conquistador de Sevilla statue. Seville, or Sevilla in Spanish, is the capital and largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalucia and was founded as the Roman city of Hispalis. It is situated on the lower reaches of the River Guadalquivir, in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula. Its old town, with an area of 4 square kilometres, is dominated by narrow streets and contains three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Alcázar palace complex, the Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies. The Santa Cruz district at the heart of Seville is particularly picturesque. The busiest street is the serpentine Calle de Sierpes. Among the houses are numerous palatial ones, mostly built in the old Roman style, with marble-paneled courtyards; otherwise, oriental forms predominate in the old town. Seville's buildings almost all have flat roofs and are rarely higher than two stories. Enjoy this summer walk recorded in 4k during holiday season 2021.
