Timelapse of the 55 bus route from Chippenham (Railway Station) to Swindon (Bus Station) via Chippenham Town Centre & Bus Station, Calne, Lyneham and Royal Wootton Bassett. This route is run by Stagecoach West.
My opinion: 7/10. Not the most exciting route but has some fairly nice bits, particularly between Calne and Royal Wootton Bassett.
This route is branded as Stagecoach Gold, which means passenger can expect a more premium type of bus (although at no extra cost) with comfortable high backed leather seating, and, on some routes, USB charging too (55 being one of them). The other Gold routes in the Stagecoach West region are the 63 (Gloucester - Forest Green), 93 (Cheltenham - Arle Court Park & Ride), 94/94X/N94 (Cheltenham - Gloucester) and the S6 (Oxford - Swindon).
NOTE: This route passes through a military site in Lyneham. For security reasons, I have blurred the military site, hence why from around 3:40 to around 3:50 you may see blur marks.
