Breathe was such a great song. I think I was 6 when that song came out and I bumped that shit nonstop along with Smack My Bitch Up and Firestarter. I stopped listening after that album, but I LOVED the version of Omen they did for the Kick-Ass soundtrack! That shit slams.
The Spice Girls really WERE normal people. That's a major reason they did so well, because they were so normal. That level of "normal" was unusual even for the UK! Somebody tried to manufacture them, but they didn't like the prospective manager so they gave him the slip and got somebody else. Victoria (Posh Spice, now Victoria Beckham), was very business-savvy even back then, nobody was going to get away with ripping the girls off with her there. Even the video is pretty much an extended pitch reel. That's what they did when they were pitching themselves to find representation/record labels. Mel C would jump on the table and do backflips, Victoria would be slightly standoffish, Emma being cute and bubbly, etc. - their characters were pretty good representations of who they really were.
in the prime of Spice Girls time my sister had 3 pre-teen daughters who lived and breathed their music. They all had their own favorites and I was the "cool uncle" who took them to see the movie when it came out. It grows on you like a fungus if you let it.
Brad's reaction in the beginning has me in tears...then actually breaking down the song? hahahah Yeah Brad you should to "Boyz N Tha Hood" reaction! For Lex!
Was feeling nostalgic and was listening to Spice Girls when I came across this video. I was super pumped. Cuz I watch a lot of y'all's Tom Macdonald Reactions and adore you guys so much! This honestly made my whole day! Lex had so much fun reliving this song 🤣 as I'm sure all the other fans of the SG did. Love you guys 🤍 Keep up the amazing work! Do more Spice Girls! 🤣🤣
My daughter played this nonstop the year it came out. She finally snapped out of it so my wife bought her a karaoke machine so I could listen to my daughter sing it (amplified) for another year. This was a funny reaction. Lex is rockin out and Brad looks like he’s trying to hold down his cornflakes.
Brad's facial expressions say's it all haha, i remember the spice girls quite well i was 14 when they became famous, and they were on the radio 24/7 ah memories haha
This is giving me flashbacks to those long road trips across the Country where my sister would insist the entire family listened to Spice Girls for hours.
Hard to overstate just how big the Spice Girls were back in the day, especially in the UK. They were everywhere. This is actually a great video - it's done in a single take with no cuts which is hard to do. (Actually there are a couple of cuts but you can't tell).
This is so funny to watch! I literally watched this video with my hubby a few months back and I said the same thing! I dont remember the lyrics being so bad! 😂
Go back and listen to christina aguilera's genie in a bottle. That sht is disturbing, especially if you think about how old she was, when she was performing that song. I never noticed until i listened to it as an adult.
I was 14 when this song was released. I remember walking into the local record shop one Saturday afternoon, back when they had listening stations. I was hoping to find a rock/punk band on the player but found this instead. I remember that I hated it, but thinking 'Oh my God, this is going to absolutely be huge'. I couldn't have even imagined what would come next! Great reaction, absolutely adore Lex losing herself in the music! :-)
I think we all just watched Brad die a little bit inside. This has to be the funniest reaction yet. Love it! And for the record, in was about 21 when this came out, and I still don't care for it. But watching this was the best thing ever! You two are the best!
Love your reaction here! 🙂I will say you guys should react to more Spice Girls songs like " Viva Forever" " Goodbye" " Let Love Lead the way"I'm sure you will like it, because people forget that Spice Girls also had really beautiful ballads. As for faster songs" Spice up your life" or " Stop" 🙂
Lex! I am so with you - this is my childhood music! My very first concert was the Spice Girls and I was OBSESSED. We could've played spice girl barbies together.
It's so weird when you listen as an adult to a song you used to jam to as a kid and you suddenly hear what you didn't get back then. 👀😂 Also, Brad, your observation that girls will in real life ditch the friends for a guy was Savage. 😂😭😂 And accurate. 😂
I was a dude in my early 20s back then, scary spice was hot, she's still spicy hot. That's all I remember about spice girls, mindless pop music when I was into playing punk Rock and metal on guitar and drums,
@@ChairView each to their own 😉, Baby wouldn't have been able to keep up with me back then, couldn't see her mixing up with punk rock, whereas Scary could easily rock out on Metal, more my style, scary hard-core 😎
Oh my lordy, Lex. You remind me of my daughters. They dance and sing to this song, well any Spice Girls song, every time, 3ven now as full grown adults. They even know the freakin dance moves to this thing. I just love watching you react to this. You bring the same smile to my face that my daughters do. Love it! I had to see the stinking spice world film over and over again. It was not my choice. Hahaha.
Guysssss! If you wanna be my boyfriend you gotta make friends with my friends and let me zigagazagaah (as in *z snap*). Like let me be in charge. The 90s was innocent wrapped in euphemism. Of course it meant getting jiggy with it but there used to be nuance and “getting jiggy with it” wasn’t just the nananannanannananaa dance either. Party fav from 3-73yrs old in the uk haha
I love watching Lex reaction listening to this again and Brad your reaction is priceless hahahaha…show Brad the video 2 become 1 and see what he thinks of them then.
Omg. I was 4 when it came out, and my older sisters used to bang to it and music like this. Thankfully we didn't know English back then, haha. I guess it's the "WAP" song of the 90's. In Poland, this song was everywhere. There were even Bubble Gums for kids "Spice Girls" edition. You could not escape it.
great reaction Brad and Lex.. You always keep it 100%. P.S. Thanks for taking a picture of Lorna Shore, Song "to the hellfire".. On the livestream, you made me SOO Happy, Pls understand i have problems with my Bank, and Ive tried SO hard to send a money superchat.
Brad, what's up? This is great! All about female friendship and recognition of Girl Power. (I wish Scary Mel B. was still on AGN...) This song pairs well with Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."
Brad's reaction to the song is hilarious! You have to watch more Spice Girls and check out Destiny's Child! Lex is pretty much us girls. How we acted with songs like this.
