I wish George and the other candidates had won. The point of elections in a bourgeoise “democracy” however is not necessarily to win but to organise. Power will not come through Parliament; it will come through workers organising in the workplace. At least I think that’s the lesson of history. It really is impossible to change the system from within but elections give an opportunity to educate and organise ourselves.

I will vote for the workers party if I'm unable to vote for an independent or my independents vote goes to a major party . Here in Australia voting is compulsory and it's better to put my vote to an honest creditable party with a moral compass than a crime syndicate with neither morals or credibility.

Mixed economy with strong socialist institutions, like a fiercely strong and robust NHS, and no under the radar erosion of its ancillary services like the ambulance, or waste disposal ect. It's the NHS, it's easy, the whole thing should be publicly owned, and, in fact the only private company should be the one which overseas that efficiency and standards are maintained, that I do agree should be outscored to a private company under the oversight of a parliamentary committee.
