Liverpool is a City on the Mersey (sea).. its actually right in the city centre. Its predominantly a Victorian city..probably the UK's finest..but it has lots of Georgian buildings as well. The waterfront and places like Water street are like a gotham city. Liverpool has the UK's best and most diverse architecture. Did you know Liverpool has the worlds first skyscraper? Not 1 but 2 Cathedrals including the UK's biggest and worlds longest. The biggest collection of grade 1 buildings and most museums, sculptures outside London.some of the best pubs anywhere....and of course lots of Beatles places...
Much prettier than I thought. It seems that Liverpool is a little underrated when it comes to beautiful European cities. But that's a good thing, saves you from tourist hoards who make life almost unbearable for the locals in cities like Barcelona etc.
I love Liverpool. Thanks for sharing this lovely video. (P.S. When you hear horse's hooves clippity-clopping along the street near the Victoria Monument ~ about 14 minutes into the video & See the black & white spotted horse ~ His name is "Paddy". His owner/ driver told me.)
Im moving to England soon. I had to choose between London and Liverpool so i chose Liverpool. Im proud of my choice because it looks peaceful and less crowded.
Move to Liverpool you'll love it its clean and not over crowded like London ...The people are great beautiful listed building. Ooh and the best football team in the country.
When i was a kid one of my favorite Beatles songs was and still is good day sunshine and i often wondered what it was like where the Beatles came from and could never imagine no pun intended of what the place was like until the technology came about to watch a video called walking in Liverpool, all i can say is cool, im old enough to remember the Beatles playing on the radio by the way.
Liverpool over London, the best choice you will ever make, trust me, I moved to London 30 years ago, expensive, overpopulated, no soul, one huge rat race, I know one day I will be returning to this great warm city.
What I wouldn't give to see a lot of the older buildings power washed so we could see what they looked like when they were first built... Guessing it could damage them being so old.
@@cindywehle2721 The first scene is of William Brown street (on Wikipedia) where you see 19th century public buildings including a museum, public library, and gallery. Then 1:29 is St Johns gardens, behind St George's Hall, which is a grand 19th century public building too. Most of the buildings you saw are public and commercial but mostly the more modern looking blocks of flats through the video tend to be used as apartments
why the negative comment? grot? you should apply for a job as a Tour guide how to keep tourists from visiting a city! Try visiting Childwall, Gateacre, Woolton, Allerton, Mossley Hill...wheres your "Grot" now eh? please don't knock Liverpool
Love it. We'd love to show this on Liverpool TV on our regular segment showcasing great local videos from social media. Would you be happy to let us broadcast this with a credit to you?
Some good pictures what you wouldn't like for tourism because you're missing out all the signs. Not everybody knows Liverpool and I thought the point of this was to get it out Liverpool.

ExploreTheWorld Scousers consider themselves to be apart from England. Almost every scouser has some Celtic ancestry and many consider Celtic culture and history to be part of the makeup of Liverpool today. It doesn’t help, of course, that many English are less than friendly to Liverpool as a city.
Liverpool accent is English. Development from OE. Influenced by many people. Irish Scandinavians. ie names of places. Thingwall, Kirkby, Croxteth, Toxteth, Welsh, Irish, Lancashire dialect.
