One of my all-time favorites. When you asked, “can they do that?” when they shot the guy in front of the casino - now, no; but Vegas in 1981? Hell, yeah.

all 4 Oceans films are worth seeing. it's not critical but probably best to watch in release order: 11, 12, 13, 8 & maybe finish with the 1960 original starring Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr & several others.

I was the Security Guard at the 27.30 mark that used my card when the two Mormon brother "forgot" theirs into the vault area.

The end song of Oceans 11, in front of the Bellagio fountain, is Debussy’s ‘Clair De Lune’, and is the same song used at the end of the movie The Right Stuff. It was also shot in a similar way as well.

Andy Garcia was perfect for his role. He reminds me of a mafia boss. all of the actors were top notch.

This is actually a remake of a 1960 film of the same name, also with an all-star cast of that time.

The oldest crew member -- Saul -- and the youngest -- Linus -- just happened to be the last two in the final shot. The director told them to all just make their way off camera, after Brad went first, and that's just how it ended up. In the commentary track on the DVD, Brad and Matt and Andy talked about how, when they weren't shooting, everyone would hang around and listen to stories from Carl Reiner (Saul), the biggest legend in the whole show.

32:55 This is the point that everyone says they recognise Brad Pitt's voice. Which is funny, because according to the director commentary what they're actually hearing is George Clooney doing a Brad Pitt impression, as Pitt wasn't on set when they had to record the line.

I just love this movie. I always tear up during the Bellagio fountain scene. I think about this movie everytime I visit Vegas. So so incredible.

I watched this over and over. There are two more you know. I always loved the way it fooled, er played the audience as well. Perfection. As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.

House MD has a great line about a parole hearing. He is refused parole because they felt that he didn't mean his apology or some such. So House says something along the lines of 'so you only give parole to the best actors'... Such a beautiful comment.

I'm an Old Guy so I remember and love the Original "Ocean's Eleven" Starring : Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis jr., Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, Ceasr Romero and some great cameos! In this one they rob 5 Vegas Casinos. It's Uber-Cool because of the cast but the Plan is also pretty Good! Worth a Watch.

If you enjoy thsi type of movie, consider the Newman / Redford classic, The Sting - another great con movie. Great react - keep'em coming!

The remake with Rihanna, Ocean's 8, is actually a sequel. Sandra Bullock plays Danny's sister. It's a really great film, one of my favorites of the whole franchise.

I enjoyed this one. Ocean’s 12 was okay. Ocean’s 13 I really enjoyed too! Haven’t seen the female one with Sandra Bullock yet.

A couple of movies to mention for consideration. "8 Million Ways to Die". A movie that put Andy Garcia on the map. And......"Matchstick Men", staring Nicholas Cage as a conman w/OCD.

Next up Ocean's 12!

Ocean's Eight is not a remake, but its own movie. I enjoyed it. The names of the movies follow the lead's last name and the number of crew on the team.

The “Rat Pack” was a group of amazingly talented men…👍🏻

"Razed" = completely demolished. "Can they do that?" Common law (and statutes in most US states) was yes you could shoot a fleeing felon. However, that was narrowed in US in a 1985 Supreme Court decision that prohibits lethal force against fleeing felons unless (1) necessary to stop the escape AND (2) the officer has probable cause to believe the fleeing felon poses a threat of serious bodily harm or death to the officer or the public. So, in 1987 as recounted in the movie, that would be an illegal use of deadly force unless the cops had reason to believe the thief was a danger (say, if he used a weapon in the robbery and still had the weapon). As depicted, that would be a stretch to say the least.

This is definitely up there with my favorite movies too. My other two Steven Soderbergh movies would be Out Of Sight (1998) a crime film with George Clooney and Erin Brocavich (2000) a legal film based on a true story with Julia Roberts.

One of few trilogies that pretty well equal each other movie. I really don't have a favorite of them all, they're so unique and well written.

Don't forget to see the follow-up Oceans 12 though it wasn't as good but good enough. Also, I recently read that Brad Pitt eats in all of his movies.

The Bellagio Water Fountains are a magnificent sight to behold. If you haven’t been to Las Vegas before, you should plan a trip to visit. It’s a gorgeous casino.

While the Ocean’s sequels are good, Now You See Me is the next best heist movie there is.

My fav. as well, don't bother with the next two. Maybe look into The Sting, from the 70's Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

The beginning and end scenes were filmed at the Rahway State Prison in NJ. Then the scene of Clooney going up the escalator and meeting Frank were at the since demolished Trump Plaza casino in Atlantic City. You can see the lighted sign for that behind Clooney when he calls his truant officer.Trump previously owned that and the Trump Taj Mahal casino now the Hard Rock casino and the Trump Marina casino which is now the Golden Nugget in AC. Since Steve Wynn left LV all of the casinos in LV are owned by Corporations. None are owned by private persons anymore.

Part 3 is the best of the lot

I loved all of them except Ocean's 13. 11and 12 were really good. They're kind of like Robin Hood. Raised means to tear down , destroy. Love ya Kabir... language language..

When this came out in theaters, I had a roommate who insisted on seeing "Vanilla Sky." I was so mad at how bad that movie was, that I woke her up the next day and demanded that she take me to see "Ocean's 11," so it would wash away that other movie. Needless to say, I was thrilled when she moved in with a boyfriend.

Oceans 12 is just as good if not better, for me.

The trilogy Ocean’s 11, 12, & 13 are great movies. It’s a really fun heist trilogy. The latest movie Ocean’s 8 is a sequel to the trilogy made a long time later and in my opinion it’s just kind of meh, but it does a lot of things right that all of these modern all female reboots get wrong. I think you’ll love American Pie, but I’d only recommend the first eight movies because the ninth one called Girls Rule has nothing at all to do with American Pie other than the title, not even Eugene Levy is in it and he is the one consistent character in the movies, including the four spinoffs.

It's good for a remake. The original starred the Rat Pack Plus. A little comedy, a little irony. The main difference, they robbed 7 casinos, not 3. 😊

As entertaining as this is, it heavily reminds me of 1964's _Topkapi_ (moreso than the original _Ocean's_ _11_ rat pack version) with its similar setup. Both are quite good, and this is my favorite of the _Oceans_ series.

Now that you've seen the remake, you should watch the original from 60 years ago starring the Rat Pack. Ocean's 8 is not a remake, but it's not nearly as good as 11, 12, or 13 either.

This is not to pick on any one youtuber. It's more of a critique on the state of youtube reactions. Watch different movies. Watch older movies. Get to know famous movie stars and directors. Watch movies that won awards. The reason why I prefer to watch movie reactions rather than make my own, is because the movies I really like (and I'm 63) I've already seen. Those are the ones I'm dying to see reacted to. Unfortunately, out of the maybe 100s of movies I really want to watch again with someone, I'm lucky to have seen maybe 10 different movies, with the same 5 reacted to 30 times. The rest I either never wanted to watch, or don't want to watch again. Reaction is a one time thing for. I'm not watching someone who has seen the movie before, even there's someone in the video that hasn't.

10/10 One of my all-time favorites There is just something about this movie that makes it so great. There's nothing truly outstanding about any one aspect of the movie; nothing that will blow you away. However, everything is put together perfectly. Personally, I have a theory that any movie that absolutely blows you away the first time you see it, will lose its entertainment value very quickly. Not necessarily because the movie was not good, but because it just seems to get old too fast. This is NOT one of those movies. This is the kind of movie that will be enjoyed countless times. The dialogue is slick, and always to the point. There are few (if any) overdone scenes and/or lines that tend to become annoying over time. This movie flows exceptionally well. Personally, I couldn't quite figure out why until I watched the "behind the scenes" footage on the DVD. I didn't really notice all of the work they put into using as few shots as possible. The extra features on the DVD really explain it all. Almost every scene uses considerably less shots than you would think it takes to convey all of the activity going on. The music punctuates the flow of the movie and the shots extremely well. The cast is almost all big names. It's great to see actors like Pitt and Clooney and Damon come together in a movie and interact so well, without having to be the pretty boys or bad-ass heroes of the movie.

i've seen Eleven (1960) and 11, 12, and 13. didn't see Eight because I'm not dumb. 12 is the worst of the 4. 11 and 13 are fine, Eleven had a fun few scenes.

The Sequels are just as entertaining with all new twists! Ryan Reynolds has a movie along this Genre called "6 Underground"... Fantastic! A Double Feature using Magicians is "Now you see me" and Now you see me 2"... These will keep you busy for awhile... just keep your hand on your wallet! hehehe

I love this series! However, I am not a big fan of prequels. There are very few prequels that are done well and i especially have no interest in a prequel with an all female cast. I am a female and have nothing against female casting, but when Hollywood thinks they're doing us favors by trying to establish characters where they didn't exist and their only purpose is to give a quota of gender equality, it frustrates me. They literally are just using the formula that ocean's 11 did but want us to believe they are just telling a story. I don't believe it. I know what they are up to with these money grabs. I'll stick with the ones that have heart and great storytelling 😊
