The Fifth Element is one of the best movies ever made. It has it all, a great script, awesome cast playing fantastic characters, mesmerizing sets/costumes, action, adventure, cgi, special effects, comic relief and romance. The cinema photography is brilliant, the soundtrack is captivating and the editing is second to none! A truly spectacular film in every way! I've watched The Fifth Element more times than I can count and it has yet to get old. Glad you took the time to watch The Fifth Element. I'm writing this at the very start and I can already see you're going to love it, it is a wonderful roller coaster ride.

And another good film by Luc Besson is Leon the Professional(1994), also with Gary Oldman and he's very good in that. Luc really takes advantage of that in a lot of the movie, but especially in the whimsical sequence of errors in Corben's apartment with guests and sci-fi appliances. For more of comedic Bruce - Whole Nine Yards, Cop Out, and Hudson Hawk.

What always tickled me was when this came out, I was in college (Georgia Tech) and all of my friends were trying to figure out how a movie could be made about boron. Guess that’s what happens at a school focused on science and engineering where even the “liberal arts” majors were earning B.S degrees and had to take at least one year of calculus.

Hee hee, before Rush Hour Chris Tucker really jumped his career as the flamboyant radio personality. 😊 The opera singer who played/voices the Diva declared it was impossible to do without electronically enhancing it. Since then the infamous Diva Dance has been performed on The Voice and various Got Talent shows. They created Lilu’s language for this film and even how she didn’t breathe in middle of a sentence to make her even less human in her manner. Worth Re-watching to catch the fun bits. 😊

So director Luc Besson released "The Fifth Element" in 1997, showing how he imagined the 23rd Century on Earth. 20 years later, in 2017, he released "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets", which takes us further into the interplanetary future of the 28th Century. "Valerian" got panned when it came out, but then it also took a while for "5th Element" to be understood and accepted when it was first released. And both films grow on you with each time you watch. I would recommend you do a reaction to "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets", if only to see how director Besson's vision had developed over that 20 years.

Fifth Element is one of my favorite sci fi films. Reminds me of one of my favorite animes Outlaw Starr or Cowboy Bebop. Plus it also has a little flavor of where I believe the creators of mass effect got the idea from

"Bruce Willis has been in a ton of movies, but nothing where he has a big role." --- Oh dear, oh dear, you are about to be pummeled by your fans (in a good way). LOL

Bruce Willis was NOT in Lethal Weapon. That was Mel Gibson. However, he WAS in Pulp Fiction, the Die Hard movies, RED and RED II, The Six Sense, Unbreakable and Glass, Looper, 12 Monkeys and a bunch I haven't seen (and also received horrible ratings). All the ones I mentioned are very good movies that you should consider reacting to.
