@@renanabboud-azran5798 depends on your taste but generally speaking Kazaviti is one of the nicest but you can also try Panagia, Theologos, Limenaria and 1-2 restaurants at Saint Antonio beach at Potos or Klisma at Kallirachi!
I came from thassos the day before yesterday and it was wonderful! The sky, the beaches, the water, the food etc., the Marble Beach feels like a dream beach❤❤
The video is very well done! Actually, we were there exactly three years ago and Thasos is a must! We were completely enamoured by this magical island! Multe salutări cordiale din Bulgaria către România! 🇧🇬❤️🇷🇴
@@FramingReality the other great thing about thassos is , you can drive round the island and reach all the beaches very quickly . some are naturist beaches . so have to be careful if you have kids with you .
@@8ballphil150 you have to be careful if you have kinds anywhere, haha. But about driving around the island, this is exactly as I did. I had a car and drove around. That's the best :)
Next time we will go together to some other special places from our paradise: Kastro, Sotiros, Psili Ammos, Porto Vathy, Rachoni, Kallirachi, Fari, Kinira, Pefkari, etc 🙂Congratulations for this documentary ;)
Very very good movie and helpful for those who want to discover and explore this unique island! It really helped prepare me and my family and I'm sure that will help others too. Thank you so much!
Wow,good job! I thought I had already covered everything worth mentioning, now I realized that there is so much more... thank you, great video, great edit!👏
Great job! Also, there is the Chrissi Ammoudia Beach which is the best beach of the island for me. In Limenaria you can find the ''Palataki'' which is a remnant of a german mine company (if I remember accurately). Skala Prinos is also very beautiful. Thank you for your fantastic work!
Jaelle, I'm really happy when I bring value and people express this. Have fun on your trip and let me know how it is and if the island meets your expectation.
One of the most spectacular things to do on Thassos is to hike up to the mountaintop. Therese a marked path that leads to the highest peak (Ipsarion) which gives you incredible 360 degree views. Every video about Thassos MUST include that!
I'm glad you have been there before you saw the video. How was the trip for you? Is there any place that you have been there and it's not in the video?
Nice video! You should visit next time the Makryammos beach - white sand, because the marble is nearby, but very fine sand, good food! Great atmosphere!
Nice video!I'm from Thassos and I think you should have talked about the night life...there are many nightclubs, a disco called Bolero and there is a whole village called Potos which is basically a giant nightclub every night
Great input! Night life should definitely be somewhere, but this video is subjective and reflects my opinion. I'm not a night life party animal, so I leave this opportunity for another content creator :)
You should visit Skala Sotiros next. One of its unique traits is the church of Prophet Elias, since it lies on top of a prehistoric settlement from the early bronze age. The village of Sotiros is also very beautiful. Good job on making this video and thank you. Im really proud of my island.
Thank you for a beautifully made video. As a huge fan of Thassos ( I’ve been there many times) I loved your selection. You went to a lot of places in just one week! For running or hiking the trails from Limenas to Makryammos, Marble Beach and Porto Vathy are amazing. Stunning views, shady pine trees and almost no cars. The walk to the acropolis at Limenas with the amphitheatre above the town is also steep but well worth it. My personal favourite beach is Metalia on the edge of Limenaria. I’m guessing you know Limenaria by your drone footage at the beginning of the video. There are ruins of the old zinc mine and some lovely marble sculptures. There is a modern stone circle on a cliff overlooking the bay which is a great place to stop for a picnic and watch the sunset. Unless you enter by he road you have to go down steep steps to reach the beach. It’s not for everyone, being quite rocky and you need sea shoes to swim there as the rocks are slippery in places, but the water is crystal clear and excellent for snorkelling. It never seems to get too crowded. Going East along the coast from there there is a lovely path overlooking the sea which takes you to Pefkari, a couple of miles away which is, a small but pretty beach backed by pine trees and tavernas. (Pefkari can feel a bit crowded though.) Did you know that if you drink the spring water that runs from the fountains in Panangia you will fall in love with Thassos and never want to leave? Every August 15 th in Panagia there is a big festival of the Virgin Mary with a procession from the church, which marks the end of a period of fasting. We listened to the hymns outside the church and then joined the locals walking along with the icon of Mary, which was a really lovely experience. I would like to go up Mount Ipsarion next time I visit Thasos .
This video goes into far more detail than I ever could - all I can tell you is that I have been to Thasos twice - the last time about 20-22 years ago. And it was idyllic. Seriously, that place is... heaven! From this and other vids, it looks like tourism has hit pretty hard, but... that doesn't change the island. Like the narrator said, no airport. so to GET to Thasos you have to land, get a coach, get a ferry... so... No kids!!!! Excellent place for people who..... well, hate kids!!! Great destination for grown-ups with no children. I plan to go back next year with a certain somebody.
Great quality on videography and editing! This place is so beautiful , so diverse and peaceful it’s almost unreal. But I think you missed one place , worth talking about , that’s the “Metallia Beach” in limenaria in the southern part of the island , where used to be an iron mining factory and the remains are still left there , the scenery is spectacular. Nevertheless you did a great job!! Thank you 🙏🏼
Dimitris, thank you for your input! Didn't know about Metallia (I almost read Metallica) beach. I will probably go back to Thassos to cover more, but this in a future video.
Great video, congratulations! I'm so proud of my beautiful country and I feel so honnored when people like you are making such a good job! Just one thing: the insects that you mention are not crickets, they are cigadas and their life is unimaginable, people have no idea about what is really happening with them. The amazing video "the return of the cigadas" that I accidentally watched this summer will touch you very deeply and will change for ever the way you see these exceptional creatures.. Imagine the consequences to them during a fire in the forest they live....... So devastating....... It's really heartbreaking..
I think you definetely missed the Hike to Ipsarion Mountain, the sunrise is just magical there and if there are some clouds even in the day it's breathtaking and you can see mostly all around the island. I was on Thassos a Month ago, I am coming up with a video shortly as well, but it will be mostly a highlight video of natural places on Thassos. It's a pity that I haven't found your video before! Nice job, great video! How many day did I take you to record all the videos?
As a Greek i must say tha you have created an wonderful video , similar with a video of tv channel. Can you write us which camera an drone did you used ?? Thanks a lot!
Thank you for your appreciation! I'm glad you enjoyed it. As for gear, I used my Sony a7siii with 16-35 and 28-75 lenses. The drone is a DJI Air 2S. Hope this helps!
@@FramingReality there is restaurant when you go to limenas that is great and it has great food and the sea is so clean near skala prinos is a hotel the name of the hotel is alea 5 star the food is great there behind the hotel is the sea there are so many pools and a gym my dad works there last there is a great camp the name is pitsa camp and u can stay ther for 14 days or 7 days you can do so much activyties the name of the restaurant is pekfospilia
if it's high season, it's a bit too crowded for my taste. Pretty hard to find a parking place near small beaches. Fortunately, the island is pretty big to accommodate many people and, If you are a bit adventurous, you might find a hidden beach with few people.
Hey, could you please tell how to get to theologos waterfalls? We are now in Thasos, saw your video and really want to see them but they are not on the map, only the village Theologos
Hey, Jane. Thank you for your comment. First of all, Theologos waterfall is in Theologos village. To get there, search on google maps: Katarráktes "Kefalogourna Waterfall"
Why does this guy tell us he is showing us a "city" only to present us with something that would struggle to be described as a town in an English-speaking country. Greece only has two proper cities. Excellent video, by the way.
