Holiday Extras Travel Guides yes we always see all we have grandchildren they have all loved it over the years one grandson is now 15 and still go there we have already booked . just pray we can still go (virus ) thank you ✈️
I just came back from a 10 day Lanzarote trip, and the one thing which 'hit' me the most, was the total absence of advertising signs on all the island ! According to one of our tour guides, this was requested by César Manrique, in order to keep the landscape clean of all visual intrusion. I am so glad that the 'no advertising' rule is fulfilled completely on the whole island of Lanzarote! Thank you very much César !
I just wanna say thank you. I’m from Gran Canaria and I was living in Lanzarote for a while, and I love the way you showed up the island and how you appreciate the beauty of the land and the work of Cesar Manrique. Good job man👌🏼
Thank you so much for this very informative video! Can you tell us which month this footage is from? I see most people wearing jackets. I'll travel to Lanzarote this December and am wondering whether it won't be too cold... Greetings from Berlin :) I see most people wearing jackets.
I was looking for holiday destinations i eaurope and just found about this beautiful Island 💛 i don't know if the weather would be as good in september 2021 but i would definitely visit Lanzarote one day❤❤ thanks for the video, I found this very helpful 🌻
We watched your video before visiting. We are still here with 2 days to go. Used alot of your advice and have seen some amazing places! Would already love to come back. Thanks for the video
Magnificent Lanzarote! There’s so much more to discover beyond just the beaches and resorts. Hidden gems like Timanfaya National Park and charming villages are everywhere!
Volcano tour boring and you can't eat at restaurant. Jameos del agua is beautiful. Teguise st bartomelu haria all beautiful mirador del rio is fantastic
As someone lucky enough to live way up in the north of Lanzarote, I think your choice of locations was inspired, and you've really captured the essence of the place in what you show and especially in what you say. I'm sure you realise you could easily shoot an "Another 9 awsome things" video -and they would still all be just as amazing. This small island is rich with scenery, history and culture. Thank you for coming to Lanzarote and making this video. I've already shared it with friends who will be comig to see us here for the first time. I hope we will see you here again soon.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I really was surprised by how fascinating the island was, and you're completely right. We could have shot another three videos packed with amazing things to visit. Condensing the schedule for this shoot down to something realistic was so difficult! Knowing all the great things we couldn't cover, it warms my heart to know that we did the island justice. I hope your friends enjoy their trip! - Jake
Hey Micheál! My research told me it was a species of squat lobster also known as an albino crab. So I think we're both right but I'm happy to be proven wrong! :D - Jake.
Getting a hire car made such a difference, and the drives really were beautiful. We got to see so much more. Any locations in the video catch your eye? :D
@@HolidayExtrasTravelGuides Mirado del rio and Santa Barbara castle definitely on the list, Also Punta Mejeres for swimming with the kids. Thanks again for upload.
Very informative video of Lanzarote. I visited here in January 2022 with my partner for the first time. Many locations featured we visited and it's such a lovely island. I shall return for sure
I am surprised that El golfo is on number 2. I have been there, but not too many ppl know about this place. Great video, i wish i was making videos like this.
It was gorgeous, I'm so glad that we went down onto the black sand beach too. I'd never seen anything like it. Very rainy while we were there unfortunately, but I think we still got some lovely shots! - Jake
I have long championed Lanzarote for its culture and indeed César Manrique. So many tourists visit the island and remain unaware of just how many places of interest exist. Did you ever visit Omar Sharifs former home? Nestled in the little town of Nazaret, and built within volcanic rock, lays the restaurant of Lagomar. A unique restaurant with impressive surroundings including caves, grottoes, a pool, and secret passages. The grounds in which the restaurant is set was formally the location of the property of Omar Sharif. If your unaware of this place you should Google it as I'm sure you will be fascinated :)
Awww good to see fellow travellers visiting the same place we've just got back from! I loved your guide around Lanzarote, great job for putting it all together so neatly :)
Was in gran canaria last year and it was best holiday I've ever been on but this yr we have booked for lanzarote and this will b my 1st time here. I work at Glasgow airport and I've spoken to a lot of people coming off flights from lanzarote and not 1 person has says anything bad about it, all positive so looking forward to july till I visit this great island.
Missing it already,💔 got home on Monday. And im watching lots of lanzarote videos, glad I vlogged our trip so we can look back, but nice seeing others too 😁
Loved your positive energy and how you presented it Jake! Whats your Instagram - I‘d like to follow more of your tours. We’re heading to Lanzarote tomorrow and got a great overview on what to see.
Oh no! We visited in November time, so we missed the carnival in February - where in the island is it based? We'd love to make sure we see it if we take a return journey!
@@HolidayExtrasTravelGuides ok perfect here we will be to enjoy the party 🖤🎊👍.. The best party is in the reef capital arrecife on saturday starts early at 12 until 5 in the mornig, in carnival you can be who you want to be.. The traditión, in the village of teguise they are the devils how took the children, run through the streets behind the children...
Really enjoyed this video. We love Lanzarote been 5 times. went in December just before Christmas it's beautiful. We stay in Costa Teguise and recommend going on the island tour it shows you most of the places on your video in one full 8hr trip. Visiting old teguise on a Sunday you get to see the old capital with the biggest Sunday market. Can't wait to go back.
We would have loved to be able to visit the Teguise Market! Unfortunately we visited midweek, but it's on the bucket list. There are some fantastic tours available from large towns like Costa Teguise. They're a fantastic way to see the island if you don't have a hire car too! Do you think you'll be going back this year?
Definitely in December I've booked the time off work already. Prices come down nearer to the time so we book up then. Nothing better than leaving cold weather behind and feeling the sun again 24 degrees last time! The teguise market is massive and easy to get to on the local bus ( if you don't hire a car) but they do get packed and only every half hour back to Costa teguise. We go over to fuerteventura for the day when we go too
I always look so many people recording out here and catching the best places in the island but never thought that one of them would he a big youtube channel , glad to have people who share our lovely place
Big RU-vid channel? You'll make us blush. ☺️ Thanks for watching, please consider subscribing for more travel guides from Lanzarote and around the world!
Fabulous video. I loved visiting Lanzarote and the Cesar Manrique cactus garden, which we were told was once a municipal dump! Cesar oversaw the clearance and replanting. Plus a visit to his house, now a museum, was a real privilege. Hope to return in the not so distant future, your vlog has given me even more incentive, thank you!
A GORGEOUS beach, and Caleta de Famara was actually where we were staying. But the first chance we had to film there it rained us out. The second time, it was so windy that the sand was a risk to our camera equipment! - Jake
Han är verkligen bra att förklara och har en jättebra berättar röst. Jag har bara varit på Lanzarote en gång men det var så vackert och härligt att jag skulle vilja komma dit igen. Det var så coolt med att det var lavastränder.
I am going to Lanzarote in early December and I worried the weather is chilly and not many things to do in eiland. But after seeing your video, I am very delightful that I can do many things instead of lying sunbed in hot summer.
We had a fantastic time, I'm so glad you liked the video! Funny story - we were actually staying in Caleta de Famara and had plans to film on the beach there, but it rained and we couldn't film! Such a shame, you're right it's a beautiful place and the landscape is amazing. - Jake
That's what we like to hear! February is a great time to visit, too. Check out our brand new video on where to eat in Lanzarote! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hFrVhU55sKo.html
I have been there twice because I loved it so much that I had to go again. Really lovely island, it's the perfect holiday for a couple or a family. Everything so handy, so true about the car rental option, you can park at every place worth the visit. Don't forget to try the local wine EL Grifo from grapes planted on lava soil, the taste is unique. I would recommend a minimum stay of one week, because although is a small Island you will be surprised about all the places that you will want to visit, you can have 2 nice relaxed excursions on your own for 5 days or so while enjoying the ride from one place to the next one. If you are a motorbike lover, renting one bike to move around will be a really nice experience as well.
Jameos del Agua was beautiful, and felt like a better fit for us at the time thanks to it's ties to Cesar Manrique and the fantastic underground restaurant, as we also made a video about great places to eat in Lanzarote. We were so sad we couldn't visit La Cueva de los Verdes too, they're on the list for next time!
I went to Lanzarote in 2018 and I so much regretted staying at an all inclusive hotel. Of course it was nice for a day or two but I missed all the beautiful spots of the island. Eventually, I booked one of those all day excursions and in 8 hours we saw most of the places you show in the video. But 8 hours straight you don't have time to appreciate every single place. Next time I visit I will opt for just bed and breakfast.
@@HolidayExtrasTravelGuides I loved the whine gardens inside the lava grounds. The sweet smell when you pass there and the sweet whine were a nice experience. It also reminded me of Santorini which is also a volcanic island with sweet whine and grapes that grow in the lava ashes.
Thanks for the video, very good and informative!!! I am german...Lanzarote is my favourite Island. I want to mention the Lagomar, created by Cesar Manrique. Omar Sharif process it for 24 hours before he loose it in a card game. It is now a museum and you can drinc and eat there. It is an amazing place!!! I also can recommend some caves, which you can explore by yourself. Famara beach has a fantastic energie and you can take a long walk on the beach...for hikers there are a lot of tremendous walks to do....
@@peterk1115 you have got the wrong books and not the eyes to see it..sorry..I do not want discuss on obvious things. Have a good day! You need a car....
