✨ I don't mean to be diverting viewers away from your channel but if you recall it, it was one of the classic moments in Irish TV, politics & history. Well worth watching. Cringe alert, though. ☘️
I just wanna say that if the tents belong to emmigrants or refugees then they can most certainly destroy them. If they belong to homeless irish people....that's wrong. There are no houses here as you know. I am too frightened to even set foot in dublin city with all the bastards there.....who get free this, free that, while us irish people have higher bills to pay, higher food prices. not enough doctors or health care..... which costs me around 200 euro each time I go. Dentists cost me 150 euro every time I go. I don't bother going to any dentist now as a result. I only get disability weekly but it's not enough to last me even just for q week. It's so little The government don't give a s^^^ about medical cards which I used to have. Not anymore tho.... its all money Money and more money now
The foreign invaders seem to have no such problems. But here in Galway they get free sleeping bags to sit begging in shop doorways, once the punters are gone they take their money and make a call to be picked up and brought to their houses.our own genuine homeless are camped out of sight as many are embarrassed by their circumstances. I have had personal experience of this due to a narcissistic Landlord whose greed and avarice ruined my health and almost cost me my life. Thanks be to God and only God I have somewhat recovered. The government bodies tasked with ensuring the standards of private rental accomodation failed me. After many complaints and requests for an inspection of the property, I was forced to pay an engineer to inspect it myself. I was advised to leave the property if it was not immediately made safe. I presented the engineers report to the Council who informed me that they would arrange an inspection within three months. I moved into a van and was told I had made myself voluntarily homeless and put back to the start on the housing list.
House every one else not the Irish born and bred Citizen This is unjustified evil and disgusting on all levels look after our own House the Irish 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Same in England and Scotland.Top hotels that we couldn’t afford they are using.Yet our homeless families get one room bed and breakfasts.Native people aren’t allowed to set up tents but they are.Its getting out of hand the government needs to send boats around back to where they came from.
It has taken the "Saint" off St Vincent's, off St Stephen's Green, in the move to be trendy and European and multicultural, despising its religious roots.
This government needs to be all put on trial and sentenced to crimes against the Irish nation! They have plenty of homes for economic migrants but none for Irish people disgusting!
It’s same in Scotland and England..Come in boats then hotels and housing and social security.my husband has cancer he drove 30 miles daily for radiotherapy.he asked for help but none as has state pension lady vey kind and Asylum Seekers get help.putting strain on NHS ,Schools and Housing yet never paid a penny in this country. The working pay taxes to keep them.lm all for controlled immigration coming to work here buying homes etc paying in to system, but not what is going on.They see on social media UK is soft touch.x
Scotland ,England ,Ireland and Wales we all have same problems yet we fund Ukraines war Billions go to them.Overseas we help the starving Billions but people of our own countries suffer.
Thanks so much for you comment. Can I ask you something? Why are my viewers mainly from Germany would you know? Is there an awful lot of Irish there? It doesn’t make sense to me
I responded to this but it disappeared. Thanks for your lovely comment. Germany is the majority of my viewers and I was wondering if you would know why?
Your videos are probably getting shared all over Europe even world before lreland it's how it works your highlighting local interests which they dnt like even hide. It's all game l get Suzanne lady of éiRe my partner share your video & hopefully that may help but honestly her stuff gets shared everywhere but éiRe. Cause she on here few yrs lost first channel cause of what shares she has an audience keep doing what doing its important issue that needs highlighting we are been replaced we are been left on streets to die while dose new shores new voters profit from our demise ie get our homes our kids school places our doctor appointments etc stay safe.✌🏻☘️👊🏻
Makes me physically sick to think 🤔 of Irish homeless people whose tents are being destroyed while any Tom Dick or Harry from foreign countries can come in and get accomodation immediately 💔 😢 😭 Ireland has gone to the dogs as fsr as our government is concerned. This video was pitiful to see and it painted a good picture of the horrific abuse to homeless.
Thanks for watching it. I’ve a few similar if it interests you. It is indeed horrific and I walk around with my mums words in my head going “I can’t even believe this”.
Shame on Dublin City Council. And we all know Leo Varadkar’s attitude towards the least well off in Ireland. He told the people of Ireland that it’s not his problem as homelessness is everywhere. It’s ok for him in his tailored suits. He will never have to sleep rough.
Governments main purpose is to take your money, and they're doing a great job at it. I have long felt that democracy is dead in this country, its more of a kleptocracy, (real word, look it up) anyway, the rules are simple, they lie, we know they lie, they know we know they lie, we all just pretend to believe... :/
Thing is our irish people should not be sleeping on the streets. But the goverment do nothing for them But people can come in from all the world And there is no problem. Absolute disgrace
Keegan should be made to live on the streets without a tent for four years so he then knows what it is like and maybe he might find his tiny little heart
We pay for assistamce to our less fortunate and they're not taken care of......But help is on the way....We have no choice...THANK YOUUUU ALL FOR YOUR IMMENSE COURAGE AND MIRACLE PRAYERS....TOGETHER IN OUR HEARTSSS AND PRAYERS FOREVER 🙏 💞 💖.....In the form of a man beaten to death and nailed to a cross 💖 since my response was taken out!
I grew up in the inner city and seen the slow demise of the city I once loved. Its still an amazing city full of opportunity but its becoming more heartless than ever before. Compassion is slowly dripping away, something we were always known for having in abundance. These poor people don't want to go into the hostels because of the sheer terror that goes on in them. You can't sleep. You will get robbed, attacked, threatened, coerced etc.. Its not a kind place (was in them on off in the late 00s). Thats why many of these people prefer being in tents. Now we are taking that away from them. Its beyond grim. The Government were quick to build modular housing for Ukrainians tho.
Thanks for that lovely comment. It echoes my sentiments very well so thanks. I read today in the Journal that abused women are being put in homeless hostels now in some cases. Imagine they had to put up with the conditions you just described?
only found your channel last night bud but am overjoyed there are folks such as yourself sharing content,, have liked/subscribed and will share your content anyplace possible, your being threatened in that laneway is a common occurrence but imagine being a pensioner/female afraid to enter your local PO for whatever reason in rural towns blighted by repeated government inaction on homelessness/mental health issues, politicians couldn't give ss rats about the Irish, backed by there own private police force implementing laws made by their EU puppeteer's one comment in this thread said god save Ireland, well if those brave men who fought for her independence could see what the scum that came after them have done to her they would have them hanging from those lamposts that are about the only security the Irish homeless have, the word politician is derived from a greek word meaning leech/blood sucker.
the truth is that Irish homeless will not see even one penny - it will go to some ngo so they can organise webinars and training how to be the proper homeless, and of course, wages for hard working ngo staff. It's a scam
Life is challenging and a lot of young single men struggle. So many unskilled jobs have left Britain and Ireland. Homelessness is a terrible struggle and how do you help yourself without a place to lay your head at night and nowhere to put even the most basic of belongings.I saw tents around the church grounds in a Welsh town. All gathered around the biggest Church in the city. They were not disturbed. Many food banks in the UK feed thousands. I don't know much about Dublin but this situation is awful.
Thanks for your comment and I’m glad I’ve given you a glimpse. Food is not a struggle on the streets as there are many places giving food, however these places tend to be thriving with drug dealing etc so they tend to not be ideal for those not abusing substances or say for those with families. Tents are all around the streets of the town centre, stretching out from the cities through our parks and even up into our smaller mountains and coastal regions close to Dublin. The problem there is that in these further afield or isolated regions there is little or no safety for the dwellers should the wrong people find them. The tents stay in place for periods of time until the council cleans them up. The hostels tend to be drug dens (even though they forbid entry with alcohol) and even the most hardened don’t like staying in them at times. They prefer to stay in groups in central locations in tents. If you watch my other videos I’m sure you’ll see what I mean. Dreadful saddening situation.
@@bogtrotterErin Shocking really shocking seems worse than in UK.Are yous southeren Ireland ?What is Northern Ireland like? As you say drugs massive problem yet these people have no where to get help as can take years to address the problems people have. Scotlands councils sold a lot housing stock now buying it back and housing people in council housing.Seems the asylum seekers get housing before our own people,How is this ever going to be sorted?
Why can't they give them tents sleeping bag and light or torch and let them be in a building that is empty but can shower and use toilet facilities at least that way they are off the streets and protected from the outdoor elements and people who abuse them.
That was done by a group down at hueston station, they were opposite the station in an abandoned warehouse area, organised and safe, ran concerts and activities, alcohol and substance free, suddenly it wasn't abandoned, suddenly it's being developed, police and bailiff's storm the place and the safe homeless people who were happy and in a nice community were back on paths to the joy of the whoever owns the abandoned land which still has no homes flat's apartment complex or jobs generated, also they ran great concerts there and donations went into the food and toiletries of the safe resident's
Im a final year trauma informed, creative psychotherapy masters student! I contacted several homeless charities to offer theraputic services voluntarily, as part of my university course which would provide supervision. Not one homeless service got back to me or showed any interest in providing this service to people who might benefit from it. The help is out there, there are people training & qualified willing and ready to offer supports within their merit of capabilities but for what ever reason, the people in charge are not utilising this! It's such a shame.
I was the very same with my psychotherapist accreditation. I had to pay all my supervision fees for that and an addiction therapy accreditation. Its ridiculous. Diageo used to give a grant of your helping in the community. It’s a corporate responsibility thing but still worth a shot. MQI positions sometimes have supervision but then IICP won’t accept the hours as they say addiction is in its own field. ACI field. You have to do the hours again. As if the addicted don’t have any other issues that everyone else has.
PS I find many on the streets blissfully kind. One night I was out with my shopping trolley and looking perhaps depressed. A young homeless lass asked if she could do anything to help! Little did she know Id simply had a row with my son and walked off. I own three houses and am not in need but my heart aches for the rest, and all on the brink of it. This girl was shabby and cold but her heart a fiery furnace. Its time we all learned her ways before its too late.
There was a collective sigh of relier when Keegan left DCC to go to DLR. Then they gave him the top job after seeing what he did at DLR. The mind boggles. It's no wonder that such a high-handed approach us being taken in relation to homeless people when there's nothing to keep the council in check. The councillors need to step up and take charge.
And yet they will be voted in come the next election. We are a sad race of people to leave them get away with it, it wouldn't be tolerated in any other country. 😢
I live in Dublin 2 now born and raised in Ringsend six generations of my family have lived here and there’s not one house an average family could afford in the area there’s tents of asylum seekers on mont street lower at the back of the old tax office 50 last night they are never cleared away outside apartments that cost 900,000 euros the people in them no rights to have there road cleared but if an Irish person was there in a tent they would be moved quick enough vote f.g/f.f greens out they don’t care about our own people no to there referendum Irish first. 🇮🇪
@@bogtrotterErin yeah there’s one allways on the corner of Grattan street it’s all ways there but the rest are down the lane it’s a little hill that meets grattan street opposite the old shoe repair shop about a third of the way down they set the tents up at night there never there long before there given some where to go it’s a disgrace most of them came from other European countries which goes against the asylum laws the first safe country an applicant comes to don’t mind what Leo says I looked it up we have no obligations to take them or treaty’s that say otherwise especially from other safe countries help our own first then the rest our government has it back wards and answers to there donors who make money of the whole rotten mess
@@Antoward thanks I’ll have a look tmrw. Strange the United Nations pressurising us to get the refugees out of tents as a matter of urgency when our boys die in tents. What a messed up world we life in friend.
The glowing proof of Owen Keegan’s inhuman incompetence and narcissistic evil, like the ministers he conspires with to keep Irish Nationals Homeless and destitute is sickening, if we had journalists to expose this evil we could begin to expose them more and let the public see who they are and what their policies are for the Homeless Irish Nationals, Estimates say, there are 15 thousand Irish homeless nationals on our streets and in permanent hostels, Dublin City Council are said to have over 75 thousand derelict premises that the council and the government have decided will not be used to end the homeless crisis, and Keegan in his capacity as CEO, Thinks that people SEEING the result of DCC and the state’s criminal policies in the form of Tents on the streets is the problem?
Thanks for that comment. Only a truly evil person could steal from someone who owns absolutely nothing. No matter how many times you throw away an unhoused persons tent, they still can’t pay the rent. Only a deranged government would either instruct to perform, or abide by, these heinous actions.
O My God when the text on screen explaining that a mans only rememberance and cherished item was a photograph of his mother was scattered and discarded with no remorse made me cry , please everyone stop voting for Fianna Fáil, Fianna gael, the Greens and any other party that has more respect for people from another country than the Irish people that pay their wages. This needs to stop.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah that really upset me about the photo too. I can’t imagine how I’d be if it happened. Please share this video if you can. I don’t think the general population know this is going on. A subscription would be great too if it interests you.
Tented cities are on the rise. My heart goes out to all who are poor and all on the brink of despair. In powys Wales a lot is to be spent on social housing so that may be good, also an offer to buy back former council properties at true value. Our current cost of living is far too high for many on minimum wages, the majority, and people have too many barriers to jump even to get work. Its awful to want a job but then be grilled for too much like references, e mail addresses when not all have computer confidence etc. Its frustrating to even open bank accounts for some slow learners like my son who tried to transfer his cash from lloyds because the high street bank is closing and he is not tech savvy. He wants work but is voided because has no one for referees. I, too, would even find it hard to get those as guess lack of close friends in a new area is the reason. Its a cold world this new complex one of computing. We are all in a queue and stuck there it seems. God bless and comfort all you tented community!
So many ordinary jobs are being eliminated, like self-service tills stopping shop assistants and delivery drivers put on Zero-hours. The general population can't manage if there are no jobs and no affordable housing. What are people supposed to do? Die in the street?
Cleaning up is one thing but kicking the homeless when they're down and out is another they seem to take care of illegal immigrants okay but not their own citizens?
Thanks for your comment. It seems they do alright. Still, Dublin is becoming a filthy city. I lived in the most polluted city in the world (New Delhi) and it was cleaner than our streets.
Fair play to u exposing the crup2ion and the truth. I was homeless 12years and my mum lived in family place and we my two sister lord rest her soul she 😢passed away in11th july 23. Our house webt on fire and me and my sister i saved our lifes and my 2year old nephew had to be carrying him ans his mother i put a blanket over our head and we eventually get to the front door. We all lost everything that night i had to brush my teeh Mac Donalds and the toilet. I became very sick mould in hostel2 room made me sick i had been in 12yrs and my fiance' died in my arns of heart attack it was just a year of us having to live like that in hostel by 10 pm to be kicked out by 8am they are very evil ppl om free phone playing with people lives
Sorry to hear your story friend. I can’t imagine what that had been like for you. I forgot about the stress of using the free phone years back. People sitting in MQI just ringing and ringing and not even getting a reply. I wish you well.
I’m impressed how the Irish homeless have such neat surroundings! Even in the worst circumstances, their civilized conduct is evident. Google Los Angeles, San Francisco, if you want to see homelessness coupled with degradation, that does not have to follow! Even, some of our least fortunate are. “Spoilt”!
@@bogtrotterErin Government mate, it's their job to look after the less fortunate in our societies. It's part of their job, many of the homeless have mental problems and need professional help
@@Antipodean33 ah I get you. Yeah absolutely. I’m a therapist and worked in this field for years. Mental health services need to be linked in with the homeless more for sure. And better collaboration between the different services for a more holistic approach.
Thanks for your comment and I couldn’t agree more. The tax breaks we give the multinationals has left us with plenty of money that could be used to sort out this homeless issue permanently. Thanks for watching.
Even nurses and doctors can’t find housing in Ireland. Took our farms away. Before we could be poor with dignity in our own humble dwellings. Iosa can’t come back soon enough really.
Sure the clean up they went back the next day , it was cleaned up for paddy's day , thepeople who workforces the council should refuse to do this ,, all the people who have died in these tents
If you can't make it in the city, go back to your village. There are many villages where abandoned houses are waiting for new inhabitant and revive the true Irish life.
Thanks for your comment. Reviving a true Irish life does sound interesting. Many from the Dublin Streets are from the city or come here from other cities. Rural abandoned houses are filling quickly right now. It’s not such an easy move when you have no funds.
I’m having a word next time I see them. The fact they hang around waiting is just disgraceful. As if the homeless have many possessions. Evicting the already evicted.
Ive another video with a homeless guy explaining how it’s done. Cunning. I saw this van once on Henry St in the morning and waited to record the driver but couldn’t see him.
C'est la même politique dans toute l'europe de l'ouest...le grand remplacement ?... une pensée pour tout les patriotes qui ont payé de leurs vies notre indépendance...
This is heartbreaking 💔 I don't wanna live in a world where people who where born and bred there on last on the list but put asylum seekers in hotels what has it come to my heart goes out to you ❤
All the land owned by councils, why not allow the homeless to pitch their tents òn the land? They house illegal immigrants but not uk and Ireland people.?
You vote them into power you can vote them out,at the end of the day,you reap what you sow, stop listening to their lies when they are looking for votes.
I think Owen Keegan is correct with his policy, there must be restrictions on what people can do, Dublin City should be clean and safe for all people to use and enjoy
Thanks for your comment. As a bare minimum, do you not think the council can afford an area for homeless tents to be pitched where some food and washing facilities are provided. Homelessness aside, Dublin is filthy right now. The litter is shameful. I don’t think the homeless are the cause that majorly affects neither crime nor cleanliness. The general public manage that all on their own.
It is possible to keep the streets clean and safe, and also take care and help our most vulnerable, other cities manage it. In fact Dublin managed it, just not for the homeless Irish.
I hate governments, cant see many in the world that you could say was great. But here even irsh people are saying they wont visit Dublin because of the homelessness, yet here we have a religious Catholic nation, were millions are in homes many probably on there own and no one has the heart to help someone up ,even if they offered thier garage .All well blamimg governments but it is like you all want this big cuddly hug to be looked after and if not then blame them .Many even in the uk keep voting for the same old ,which says most are happy with it all .Vote for change but seems many do not want it to .
Vote for change. I hear what you say about personally offering help, and agree. If I found myself out on the streets these days I’d squat. It’s as simple as that. You do what you need to do to survive. I wouldn’t be soaked in a doorway in -2c when there’s houses sitting empty.
There is not an abundance of supervised accommodation... Lol fast forward a month, LET'S GIVE HELP TO PEOPLE WHO DONT BELONG HERE AND GIVE THEM MORE RIGHTS THAN THE NATIVES
Commonsense tells you to look into these tents, no excuse just the lazy ways of folk today, the want everything done for them and have no respect for anyone, curry and chips brigade.
So the poor are being encouraged to hate the poor..or anyone who isnt Irish..you can blame migration for your problems or you can lay the blame where it belongs on those in Control.those with the money and power...personally i would never be hating on Migrants..they are trying to survive just like the rest of us.
None of my videos hate on migrants. If you watch them I’ve openly said I was a migrant once. I have issues with illegal immigrants while we have 15k homeless here.
@coileanoruairc I'm speaking to your fans in the comments...have you read the comments? Your agenda may not be hate but it is attracting hateful comments and if your problem is with illegal migrant and not the legal ones do you imagine that won't spill over into hating everyone ?..Empathy is everything and we don't want to lose our humanity.
I'm hoping you are right and to show this it would be appropriate if you didn't put hearts on comments where they are blaming Migrants for their situation..I'm sure you would agreed anger should be directed at those in positions of power and not other Vulnerable people.
This is a few lines I strung together a good few years ago, it’s called a broken life, hope you like it. You’re doing great work with this channel, I just found it yesterday. I love your content. Don’t ever give up the fight Bro 💚🤍🧡 A Broken Life: As the homeless huddle in doorways for a warm & dry night, we sleep soundly in our beds oblivious to their fight Their nemesis is not just cold dark nights but also drunk pr**ks who’ll coax them into a fight They’ll piss on them as they are sleeping, head off high fiving while leaving them weeping People look down on them as if they are dirt, blinding by ignorance they don’t see their real worth Once a proud people their lives torn apart, sleeping under bridges just inches from the DART JDB Feb 2014 ☘️
